Sticky Rice!!
Excellent product. We owned the last 8 cup for over 10 years and it died. Bought a new one to replace it. Not too many products last this long and we used it many times a month. Also this rice cooker makes the rice like sticky rice and we love it.

Tried and true rice cooker
Simple to use, no unnecessary frills, great rice every time and right on the money. Had a fancier rice cooker with about nine other functions that we never used and when we needed a replacement pot simple could not find it. This is tried and true so we bought our second one.

Wonderful rice cooker, makes rice perfectly.
This was a replacement for the same item we had for 20 years. It's a really great rice cooker and comes with a steamer basket. It makes the rice and quinoa perfectly and I tried some the recipes that included in the booklet that comes with it. I would recommend this rice cooker. It's compact, does not take a lot of space. I looked at many other rice cookers but I decided to stick with the Cuisinart brand.

Great multi-purpose appliance!
We eat brown rice exclusively, and it has worked well for that. I do find that the auto switch to warm after cooking rice is of limited value, since I really have to immediately remove the inner cooking pot from the appliance to a cooling rack or the rice on the bottom "burns" into a sort of crust. The crust does not stick and the pot is very easy to clean, but the appearance of the rice is better avoiding the crust. The steamer that fits inside the top of this appliance is wonderful. I have used it multiple times for steaming a pound of frozen vegetables while the rice is cooking, or just adding water to the pot when not cooking rice. Also love the retractable cord. Had a different brand of rice cooker for a number of years and this one is much nicer!

Great appliance; adjust water-to-rice by experimen
This purchase was to replace a prior one that I accidently ruined. We like the ruined one, and were happy, yea even delighted to replace it with an updated same model. We use it all the time to cook rice, and it always works perfectly. It is important to learn exactly how much water to use with the specific rice you're using. Too much water, causes excess liquid to be ejected from the vent holes and makes a mess. Too little water creates what our children called "grindy rice," that is undercooked rice. Some experimentation is needed, but once you get the right ratio, the cooker creates great rice every time.

Cooks smooth & great rice in a large amount. Should have purchase this as my first cooker as I love this brand. Very little spray while cooking, cord is hidden underneath after use. Basket to steam vegetables too. Easy clean up.

The Best Rice Cooker
Cuisinart Rice cooker is the best rice cooker . I first bought the 4 cups for my son three years ago, so when mine wasn’t working right and after reading the reviews I asked him if it boiled over as some of the reviews says. He told me his works fine without any boil boil over so I decided buy Three 8 cups for myself and Children . Am from West Africa and I cook rice at least three times a week,I been using mine and No boiled over and it cooks excellence rice I also like the beautiful design.

cuisinart - 8 cup rice cooker (steamer)
Originally, I had the 4 cup rice cooker but decided to get the 8 cup because I use this most often to steam vegetables. It steams vegetables perfectly and I do eat a lot of fresh vegetables.
