This projector is great!
This is a review for the Epson EF-100 Mini-Laser Streaming projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.
This projector is great and easy to setup. I was up and running in 10 minutes or so. The only issues I had was figuring out why the projector came with two remotes, and the automatic update when in the middle of viewing a video to check video quality. I couldn't find anything in the manual that clearly stated the purpose of the two remotes.
What puts this projector over the top are the integrated chrome cast, apps like Netflix, and the projector has access to the google play store meaning you can download new apps that come out down the line.
I used this projector to cast youtube videos from my iphone and android to the projector to the back wall of my living room. In addition, I was able to hookup my Playstation via HDMI and that's was fast and easy. Another neat feature is the Bluetooth connectivity. I linked up the projector's audio to my Bluetooth speaker and it was neat, the only drawback is that the audio was sometimes off by 1/2 a second due to the wireless connection.
I always wanted a projector but hesitated due to the poor picture quality that plagues projectors. However, I can say the picture quality from the EF-100 is amazing. It will not replace your TV in a brightly lit room, but the picture doesn't completely wash out either, especially if there is any outdoor light coming inside your house.
So if you're in the market for a projector I think this would be one of the best ones to choose from.

Awesome, Attractive, Versatile All in One Next Gen Projector
Overview: The EF-100 is the best looking and among the most versatile all in one portable projectors I have used. It is lightweight, easy to set up and includes both streaming capabilities and built in speakers.
Unboxing Experience and Projector Appearance: I wouldn't normally highlight the unboxing, because in my experience, projectors don't normally have a very user friendly set up process. But Epson has made this projector set up easy and elegant. Unboxing, setting up streaming stick and getting up and running was easy and added to the value of the projector overall. The project has an elegant chassis that looks more like a next gen tech product than a projector. The instructions were easy and connecting the streaming stick inside the projector cover was fast.
Versatility, Image Quality and Quick on/off - Wall to Ceiling: The projector can be placed in nearly any position and is even capable of being laid on its back and projecting on the ceiling. While the lens does not have a manual shifter, you can adjust the image size digitally and can quickly and easily address keystone issues. All of this, coupled with its streaming ability and built in speakers make the projector easy to use virtually anywhere. The moment it was out of the box, my daughter and her friends were lying flat on their backs and watching their favorite movies and YouTube videos on the ceiling! I was concerned that the 1000 lumens wouldn't be bright enough during the day, but I was surprised that the projector handled light in the room quite well. The image quality is vibrant, the system turns on and off almost instantly and is quieter than any other projector that I have used.
Recommendation: I would strongly recommend this projector to anyone that is looking for an easy to use, attractive, portable all in one projector. It's the most "consumer friendly" projector I've ever used. And, while it is not the brightest projector out there, it can handle ambient light quite well. It is ideal for quick movie nights virtually anywhere!

Amazing Product!
This is a review for the Epson EF-100 Mini-Laser Streaming projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I think this is a great product. What I especially liked was the simplicity of getting it from the box, hooked up and running.
This type of projector is great for streaming television in rooms that you may not want to have a television set up in or hanging on the wall.

Stream shows on your ceiling!
Wow, what a great little unit. I've had larger projectors in the past, but they always seemed to be difficult to set up, either temporarily or to get just right with a permanent set-up. This projector came well packaged and literally took less than 5 minutes to set up and start watching - on my ceiling, no less. It comes with streaming access, as well, so also a major plus. Picture was crisp and sharp, even as I enlarged the size. Sound was also decent for a smaller unit - nearly comparable to a regular TV. The unit is easily portable - a travel case would have been nice, but the unit is pretty self contained so not a necessity. I'm looking forward to taking it to the beach.
If there is one minor complaint, it's the brightness. Could've been a little stronger. To get the best visual, you either want to avoid any natural or artificial light. In sum, I definitely recommend this projector to any casual viewer.

Great All-Inclusive Device!
When offered an opportunity to test an Epson Projector, I admit I wasn’t sure what to think about the quality of a projector over a flatscreen television. Growing up, a projector was something only used in movie theaters or the classroom, two completely different sides of the quality spectrum for viewing. But the prospect of a projector at home had me excited. There were different models that were available, but I was looking for something specific to my viewing needs. I’m not your prototypical electronics user, looking for add-on type electronics to couple with and enhance the overall experience. I want a unit that is as much “all-inclusive” as is available, so the Epson EF-100 Mini-Laser Streaming Projector had just what I was looking for in a device.
First off, there’s a wide range of overall display sizes to choose from. With viewing sizes anywhere between 22” and 150”, this projector provides an option for any room in the house. And for me, the ideal place is actually my recently renovated workout room, which my wife and I use regularly. By mounting the projector on a shelf I built near the ceiling, the projector self corrects the level of the display to the wall, as long as it isn’t greater than a 45 degree angle. The vibrant display is now easily the largest screen in the house, giving us a bright, clear picture as good as any TV we own. Second important feature is the built-in Android TV package. By connecting the projector to Wi-Fi, I have access to all of the top apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu. I can watch workout videos, my favorite TV shows or a movie, all while doing my workout. And third, just as important as the display and access to apps, is the sound. I don’t need an expensive sound system to watch my shows on this projector. Sound quality from the projector is really good, especially within the room I’m using it in. But I also have the option to Bluetooth to another speaker system, or even my Apple AirPods, so as not to disturb anyone in the next room.
The Epson EF-100 Mini-Laser Streaming Projector is a great all-in solution for me and my family. It provides us everything I look for in a television, all compiled into a 6 lbs. unit that’s no bigger than a shoe box. And speaking of box, the unit itself is a sexy, modern-looking device that fits with any space in the house. Whether up on a ceiling-mounted shelf (like the one I built), or on an elegant family room credenza, this projector will fit into any décor.

Quirky, Niche Projector
This box is super easy to set up, projects a nice image on any flat wall, does not require outside computer, just a power outlet and wifi connection.
It's a quirky thing, and there are a lot of tradeoffs. It's almost perfect for my situation, but I can explain what it does best and where it falls short.
Picture quality is good. At a throw distance of about 15 feet you can make out the pixels if you really squint. I would say the picture quality is fair, and as you sit there watching the screen it's not at all distracting.
The audio from the projector is actually quite good, and it can connect to bluetooth speakers, but is not necessary which is a huge plus.
The brightness is also fair. 2k lumens is great for a dim or dark room. I have good curtains but they certainly need to be drawn for it to work.
I have done some casual gaming on it (FPS), and while I cannot find any specs for it's refresh rate, I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth things ran on it.
I didn't think this would bother me as much as it does, but the single HDMI hookup is a huge pain. You have to remove the back covering (not difficult), unplug the Android TV port, then plug in your HDMI cable. This probably wouldn't bother me as much if I didn't feel like I had to do this so often. Turns out the Android TV port doesn't work super well with HULU. I've tried the other major streaming services with no issue but HULU seems to be very laggy. Again, that is the Android TV, not the projector. An extra HDMI port would probably make me far less frustrated by all of this.
There is a very specific customer who will be happy with this projector. I do not have a TV, I can bring this to a friend's backyard for a BBQ and movie night, I have a dark room. For me, its just about perfect (minus the HDMI options) and if that sounds right for you, you'll love it too.

Not meet the expectation.
The resolution is very low. It's like the TV in 90s and 80s. I wasn't expecting 4k but at least it should be comparable to LED quality. Also there's only one HDMI adaptor. With the size of this projector, you have enough room to fit more than one HDMI adaptor. Bluetooth connection to speaker is not compatible to all speakers, it has to be xxx (I forgot your technical term) specified in order to connect audio to speaker via bluetooth. You should have made the audio connection via bluetooth available to all types of speakers. With the price you sold, those requirements should be inclusive
