I looked at a 20cuft and it seemed to have less space. The shelves were shallow and only 3 inches wider. The shelves on this one are 17 inches deep and the baskets I put in there fit awesome! They are 9 x 16 and I can fit 2 per shelf.

We loved that freezer and brand so stayed with the same brand and the new one is slightly bigger with features we did not have in the old one. We know have a light inside the freezer when it opens, an outside light to show from far away that the freezer is running and the inside shelves are sturdier and nicer to operate. It is self defrosting and garage ready. We love it. Hope it lasts as long if not longer than the older model.

The size and functionality are perfect! There’s even a little light under it that illuminates just enough to see that it is working /running, which is really helpful since we have had issues where the breaker would somehow get tripped and shut down the old freezer. We also had no idea when it (our old freezer) quit working -until we opened it. So that feature is really nice to have! We are very happy with this freezer- so far so great!

My stairs are very slightly over 27# wide, would there be any way to remove the doors or something else to make this fit the stairwell?

The delivery guys had to remove the doors to get it into my home. Be sure to remove doors first before attempting to bring in as well Cover the fridge with blankets to prevent scratches and dents.
