Entry-Level Gas Range, Professional Range Top Feel
I've wanted a gas stove since learning to cook on my grandmother's stove as a child. Gas heats quickly, and the heat can be as quickly be shut down. The professional-style range that we wanted was out of our price range. I'd nearly given up on until I found this model of GE gas range.
This may be considered an entry-level gas range, but it has a professional feel, especially the range top:
1. Heavyweight, Cast Burner Grates - STUNNING! These have the look and feel of restaurant-quality gas range tops. They sit 1" above the burner caps and run the length of side as a single grate covering two burners. They seat well onto the cushions, don't shift, and are easy to put back into place after cleaning.
2. Heavyweight Center Griddle - The center griddle covers an elongated 9" burner. I cannot comment on this, as I've not yet used it.
3. 3rd Heavyweight, Cast Burner Grate (optional) - Like the other two, this runs the length of the two burners as one piece. It's ideal for long pans, like a roaster. Great for browning roasts, brisket, ribs, etc, in the same pan as they are roasted (be sure to check that your roaster is safe for a range top).
3. Burner Caps - Heavyweight, easy-to-clean, distribute burner heat evenly.
4. Burners - Four burners, smaller to larger (one 'Fast Boil') with one 9" elongated burner. Seat well, no rattling, well-covered by burner caps, provide even flame, responsive to knob controls. I am able to get higher, and lower temperatures on this gas range, and have better control of the heat, than I ever could on the previous electric one.
5. Knobs - These are where the 'budget' comes into the range, but I don't mind. They do the job, the burners respond, they are easy to clean, and easy to access. We don't worry about them accidentally being turned on and seeping gas because we treat the gas supply as an active part of the range, turning it off after we've finished cooking each time.
6. Burner Drip Well - Approximately 1" deep, and acts as one well for all of the burners - lots of room for those accidental boil-overs without quenching a flame or spilling over the side of a single drip well for each burner, or one well for two burners.
7. Easy to Clean - This range is easier to clean than the electric one it replaced. The grates are easy to lift, the burner drip area is so large, even cleaning up large spills are easy. The burner caps are easy to clean and reseat on the burners. It's rare anything gets on the burner, but if so, they are easily removed and replaced for cleaning.
8. The Oven - The oven door is solid, it has a steam cleaning feature (as yet, unused), the racks are substantive, and it heats quickly. It bakes evenly, browning and roasting beautifully. The temperature is well-maintained. I like that when heat is shut off, the food stops cooking, unlike with an electric oven. The only remaining heat is the radiant heat of the cookware.
NOTE: I have not tried the broiler feature.
This is a great gas range, especially for the price. The 'budget' parts are in the right places (knobs, side panels, display panel, oven door handles). The most-used part, the cooktop, is a dream to use.

The product is excellent; however, I was DEEPLY disappointed that the broiler drip pan had been replaced by a rack. This makes is nearly impossible to cook in the broiler without getting food debris on the floor of the broiler. There is no correctly sized pan available in GE parts.

More features than we thought on it.
Delivery was on time and took away old one (for an extra fee). I converted it to propane and it cam with the orfice also came with oven and direction on how to install. My wife and are are very satisfied so far with it. Currently cooking on it as soon as I installed everything. Highly recommend....

It is a broiler, there is no draw on the bottom, very awkward and cumbersome, don't buy it. I wish the salesperson would have pointed this out to me before I purchased it.
