Great Update
The unit was installed today, and the installation was a breeze. This machine replaced a 21-year-old AC that died of old age and acute rust. This unit is quieter than its predecessor, and with its WiFi access and available app can be controlled with my mobile. There is also a remote allowing me to control the AC from as far away as 21ft, allowing me to avoid the indignity of walking that far. OK, so I am having a little fun. It’s a great improvement.

I am very happy with this new model unit.
Much sleeker design compared to the old model which I replaced. Much quieter than my old unit and the nee wifi feature is very convenient. I can turn on my unit remotely using the app and arrive to a nice cool home.

All features work remotely from iPhone using WiFi
Accesses all functions over WiFi from anywhere using the Smart HQ app on my iPhone. Would give it another star if it was Matter compatible for using on other platforms. It fit well into a previously installed GE wall sleeve. My new WiFi router supports both 2.4 and 5Ghz seamlessly so not an issue.

We had a problem with the remote. It could not be used to lower the temperature. Your customer service department has, however, kindly agreed to send us a new one. Otherwise, we ate very happy with the product and would have rated the product 5 stars.

Great A/C. I purchased this to replace a 15 year old GE A/c. Unfortunately the remote came with a dead battery so I had to purchase another one. My only complaint is that the chord is very short. I wish it came with a longer one.

QUIETER THAN MOST OTHER MODELS
I understand it can't be quiet, quiet but since it's in bedroom I need quiet to sleep and it works for me. I have a small room so 8000 BTU works. I'm very happy w this model. The remote though needs some work. I feel the buttons for features should be raised. It's hit or miss when you want to power one, change temp, etc.

Very good AC
I like this 8k AC much better than the larger 12K for the simple reason that the noise level is much less. Unlike its larger brother the 8K fan noise is quite tolerable. No complaints so far though I haven’t gotten through summer yet.
