able to adjust temperature
the water heater is very good. When the old one broke I was going to have a hard time ordering a new one
because the area of the old one was in a very tight space. However the plumber was able to get this one that was tall and narrow, which fit into the tiny space.

I like the simplicity to install
Convenient access to thermostats and elements if necessary. Well insulated, and easy to follow manual. So far so good!

Better than expected...
I'm not 100% sure how I feel until the power bill shows up for the first month after install. The heat is comparatively the same as gas just takes alittle longer to reach the upstairs shower.

Not quite perfect
The brand new GE water heater unit was installed by Ameriflow. Four days later, there was still no hot water. Ameriflow diagnosed a faulty thermostat. I am told their replacing it does not void the 8-year warranty. I would have appreciated being able to contact GE by phone, but I could find no number for GE in the Owner's manual. Hopefully, the new thermostat will have fixed the problem.

Not great
Water doesn't get really hot unless the adjustments are turned almost all of the way up. So no energy saving here.

Third Time Was the Charm....Water Heater Nightmare
The first water heater that was installed would not produce hot enough water even when set a 140 degrees. Turns out that one of the heating elements was defective. Plumber replaced heating element and the water temperature wasn't over 120 when the thermostat was cranked up to 140 degrees. Plumber replaced the unit with another one and guess what? Same issue....couldn't get the water in the heater hot enough. With the water heater set at 140 degrees, I could hold my hands under the hot water coming out of the faucet indefinitely. I would run out of hot water after a 12 minute shower and I don't take really hot showers. I live alone so no other hot water was being consumed prior to showering. Plumber came out again and replaced the GE water heater with a Rheems, which is what I intially wanted but because there wasn't one available and I needed a new water heater ASAP, I went with the GE. Getting a new water heater should not be a PTSD producing experience.

Manufacture Date: 2019??? Faulty
Hello,
My brand new hot water heater was delivered in June, installed in July, and has worked intermittently since installation. GE warranty will not cover this brand new hot water tank because it was manufactured in 2019. Where has this hot water tank been stored for the past three years? I need a replacement but I’ve been unsuccessful
