Perfect for new cabinetry
We liked our previous GE microwave and got this one when we installed a microwave cabinet to get it off the counter. This was the only model that fit a 12” deep microwave cabinet. It looks great and works well. The High power setting is a bit lower than our older GE model, which is a good thing, as that was always too high.

Another great GE product
Due to the cabinet restrictions, at first finding a replacement for our 15 year old GE Profile microwave was difficult. Came across this GE product and it fit perfectly with little modification. Attaching to the existing upper cabinet with the same hardware was a snap. Microwave works great and very happy.

Hit by Hurricane Helene
Compact under counter design with all the bells and whistles. We are replacing the same microwave oven we bought two years ago, not because it was defective, but because Hurricane Helene compromised our whole house surge protector and disabled this appliance.

Streamlined design
GE Profile is a great choice for a microwave because of all the features it has and how it works so well to heat and defrost food. My only issue is that the key pad is black and not backlit. I cannot see the keys very well. Wish the company considers adding that as an on-off feature. Probably bought this because my previous one lasted 10 years.

I love that this microwave can be installed under the counter or built in!!
We’ve updated the kitchen and I just had to have a new SS hood vent to replace the old (GEProfile) microwave. I didn’t want the microwave taking up counter space so this model is perfect!! With no kids living at home the smaller size works out great for us. We haven’t gotten it installed above the wall oven yet therefore I’ll have to add photos at a later time; but it’s going to look amazing 🤩 BTW I have furnished my kitchens with GE and GE Profile appliances for the past 40 years.

Great Features and Work to Standards
This is my second microwave of the same model. The first installment was by the builder, GL Homes. That microwave didn't work properly. It didn't heat the food or drinks unless I placed on 4 to 5 minutes. The newly installed microwave operates much better. Found drinks heat less than 2 minutes. I'm enjoying the product.

Does this microwave have an optional trim kit? we are planning on installing it in a kitchen island, not a counter top.
Actually am not sure but wanted to let you know that I’m not happy with the microwave. Have had it repaired twice within the first year. (Unfortunately this microwave is the only under cabinet mounting one I can use. )

Yes it can, but you need to order a separate mounting kit. This model is pretty old, and there are no other microwaves that fit the same size, so make sure that you take that into account when installing this microwave under the counter. If it fails at any point in the future and you wanna replace the unit, you’re going to have to buy the exact same model (if they still make it)

Does the microwave require ventilation? I plan to install this under a 24 inch wide by 30 inch high cabinet above it and between two 12 inch wide by 42 inch high cabinets - one on each side. The top and sides will be enclosed and the bottom open.
It does not require ventilation. It vents through the bottom of the unit and has enough space to vent on it's own with the legs slightly raised.

Existing unit (GE) is 11 3/16 inch high. My cabinet is 2 inches high. The specs show height with feet being slightly above 12 inches. What is the height without feet; can you install it without feet; and do you need clearance?
