Perfect for what we were wanting
bought this a out a. month ago. great for having in the bedroom. clock, alarm, bluetooth, radio, kind of what we were looking for. Sound quality is good, connects bluetooth easily, don't use it for an alarm, but would work.

Regret……I didn’t buy multiple.
Very happy with this device from JBL. I totally regret not getting a few of these. I’ve used the night light on it more than expected. The radio works really well. And the Bluetooth is just what I had hoped.

Sound is great
The sound is amazing. Not an audiophile but do like clean sound at higher volumes. The radio function makes listening to music/news easier by not having to connect by bluetooth. It's in our kitchen and blows the Echo away!

So far it's met my expectations. I like the big numbers for the time and date. I don't really use the nightlight feature, but I can see some use for it, especially if you have young children that what to have a light on. Radio has three preset stations that are pretty straightforward to save and the audio quality seems rich and full. I would like to see an option to play the radio for 10, 15, 30 mins and then cut off on it's own. Also to have the alarm turn-on the radio.

Great radio and clock...
What a find! We are actually not using this for its intended purpose as an alarm clock, but as a radio and low-level light in one of our rooms. We've become so reliant (in our house) on streaming services, that we forgot how nice it is to have an actual radio present. The sound quality from this is great for its size and price, the kids stream music to it via BT and as it is plugged in, there is not the constant need to charge.
We had also wanted a clock for that room and the bright clear display on this checks that box as well.

Great looks, great sound, but...c'mon guys
1. The alarm function should allow for not coming on the weekend, or when you don't want it to. Many of us work at different times and shifts. I shouldn't have to turn off my alarm on my day off when I'm dead asleep.
2. Sometimes you can't get the radio station you want. Put in a cool ring or buzz or beep of some kind as an option.
3. Love the auto dimming on the display. But, would like to see a manual dimming of the nightlight. Some folks like to have a little light on while they sleep. The slow fade to off is nice, though.
I love JBL stuff. These would have made it top notch.

Best bedside clock radio music player
I searched extensively for an alarm clock that would play my music wirelessly with decent sound quality. Very few options. Only the JBL fully met my criteria. I have been using it for weeks now and I am happy with the unit. Set up could have been a bit easier, but I got it to work. The only real complaint is that the control buttons for radio, bluetooth and alrams are not lit or highlighted and barely palpable. The time is easily readable during the day and at night, no problem, Sound quality is good for such small size and price point. Night light is great.

Great sound, compact big display
I purchased one of these for each of my two kids- Both sleep very deeply and have trouble waking up in the morning for school. We love that it has many functions- Like great sound, easily accessible USB charging ports, FM radio, Bluetooth, easy function nightlight, etc. There are a couple things I don’t love though, the automatic dimming screen is unnecessary (And I wish we could turn that off), & it only has two FM presets.

Excellent sound quality great clock
I think this is the best sounding alarm clock available right now. I looked high and low for a clock that doesn’t have listening capabilities and just offers great alarm, display, and quality sound. It fits the Bill. Why can’t more companies get with the program and design a good sounding clock?! Okay now for the bad. The Bluetooth isn’t capable of quick switching between devices like an iPad and iPhone. You must constantly disconnect/repair each device whenever you switch. Also, whenever you pair with the clock, a super loud horrendous sound annumciates so you know a connection has been made. This is REALLY bad if you share a bed and switch a device in middle of the night. Even during the day it’s obnoxious. They need to make this sound more suddle. Other than that, it’s a great clock.

Could have been so much better
No directions were included. Sound is decent enough but radio absolutely required external antenna. Had I paid the advertised “list price” rating would have been lower. Still trying to figure out the function of the lighted rear panel.

Good price, but strange features.
I bought this radio to replace an old unit the failed. It was a great price for the unit, but it seems many features have been removed. The alarm can’t be set to repeat every day and must be reset every day for the next day. Also the days of the week can’t be selected for the alarm. It also has a strange display in terms of that it displays a ‘0’ when the ‘1’ is not being used e.g. 08:00am not 8:00am. It also does not have AM radio band. For the price I paid it’s fine, but could be better.

Must be PLUGGED IN. Why not rechargable?
Guess I shouldn't have assumed that it wasn't a rechargeable speaker like 99% of the competitors. What niche market is Harman catering to? Maybe those stuck in 2010? FM radio woth alarm, but bluetooth to connect a phone? And the light doesn't work properly all the time. Speaker sounds great which is why I buy JBL audio, but honestly, this is one speaker that doesn't need to be on the market any longer.

I bought this for my treatment room for massage. Unfortunately the display cannot be made to stay bright. While it brightens when you are setting stuff it goes back to dim so I can't see it while working to gauge time. Also, it has 2 USB ports. Yet when I charge anything it whistles a frequency sound like a tea kettle! I have tried different cords and it still doesn't fix it so I can't use in my bedroom either. The speaker and Bluetooth feature are nice though. The little light that you can have turn on when alarm goes off or as nightlight is nice. And FYI the review is checking that I would recommend to friend. I can't get it to unchecked but I would not recommend if they needed to charge stuff or see display.

Wrong Time
The HORIZON2 synchronizes the time when DAB/FM is turned on, and this is always incorrect. A firmware upgrade does not help. Resetting the device does not help either. JBL support seems oblivious to this issue.
