Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Addition to My New Kitchen [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with my new microwave. I have enjoyed using it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faster and more even heating. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far we are very pleased with the microwave. I feel like there is better, even heating than my old microwave. I also feel it heats faster. Something that took 3.5 minutes before, now takes 2 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great capacity! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful design and very large capacity inside. I didn’t realize how badly I needed to upgrade u til I got this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used it once since it is a remodel that is not quite complete. So far so good with great features. A bit bigger than I thought would be. Make sure you have a larger enough space to place it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like the size and power [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Whirlpool microwave is a very nice microwave. Setting the clock is a little more cumbersome than it should be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Model improved [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with new unit. It is easy to use and the timed selections ( one/two/three, etc minutes) are convenient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality product and name brand [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It fits in the built in location and works as expected

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than basic microwave [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Microwave was included in the appliance package offered by the builder. I use the appliance primarily for reheating and defrosting food and it is fine for these purposes. I don’t use the appliance auto functions much at all. I prefer to select a power level and specific time for reheating and defrosting. If the appliance had a keypad it would be easier to do this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great but shows every fingerprint [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wish it didn’t show fingerprints so much! Cooks food evenly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Built-In Kitchen Microwave [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our similar model from Kitchen Aid died a premature death after only 5 years. Pros: quiet, brushed metal hides fingerprints, relatively simple to use. Cons: no way to type in a specific amount of cook time, which is very strange. The user adds increments of time up to get to a total if it is not a set amount like 2 minutes. Buying American-made products, especially appliances, is important to me so I am happy that Kitchen Aid is still doing this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth Microwave [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use and performs well. The door is relatively quiet as well, which I like. I wish that it had a traditional number pad however.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this unit for about one month. It is very efficient and heats food without hot spots or cold spots, something our previous microwave was plagued with. It is also very user friendly and attractive. I would have rated it 5 stars except for: 1. There is too much sag in the door when closed. It does not line up well with the control panel, particularly on the bottom. 2. The interior light is too dim. 3. Should have a flat plug (like refrigerators) to allow for closer placement against the back wall. Overall a very fine product, that will hopefully give us years of service. The door sag, however, is annoying and I would think is something that could be easily remedied. Jerry Norton

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Terrific microwave [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would give it a 5-start except that I can not find an on-line manual to download

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Question features [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't really know much about my new counter microwave yet as I bought it for my new house, which I have been unable to inhabit until the fence company installed my fence which I needed for my dogs. It is finally done and I now need a weather break when my crew can actually move me. So far I have used it a few times and I am impressed with the power but wish I could set a cook time for say 15 seconds, without having to choose the smallest 1 minute time. I have the build in equivalent in my old home and love it, but may miss some of the features such as dinner plate, vegetable, beverage, etc. that I had on my old one. I will not know until I actually start to explore this one more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement for the previous model. The only negative to date is that the door window is too dark and the light is not very bright making it hard to observe anything cooking inside. Pros are that it is higher wattage and has better controls.
Date published: 2024-01-02
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but lacks features [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Microwave has plenty of power, however at its price point it should have , but does not, more features such as ability to program short cuts (i.e. frequently used settings)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave vent seems to have an issue, I see steam cloud after microwaving some foods.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lightbulb inside is terrible. This microwave is fine, it gets the job done. My complaint about this microwave is the light bulb. You cannot see ANYTHING inside that microwave while it’s going. It’s actually pretty absurd. It would be a whole lot better if they offered a better replacement bulb. I bought this microwave to replace the older model that died on me, but that older model was much better in my opinion. Also, I waited and bought the trim kit which fit just fine. Others must have purchased or received the wrong one for their model.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wierd number pad [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave is a nice size and the trim kit fits with it perfectly. However, this microwave does not have the traditional pad of numbers 1 through 9. For example to cook food for 9 minutes a user must push the 6 minute button and then the plus sign 3 times. It is the weirdest numeric system I have ever seen and very annoying. I hope that Kitchenaid stops making their control pads like this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from too many problems [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm having significant trouble with this appliance. If too much steam builds up inside, it just turns itself off. Then I have to wait several minutes until it "feels ready" to start again (after resetting the clock and the timer). This happens with foods that I have been using in other microwaves for years. Also, there seems no way to speak with customer service on the phone. They just want you to email your problem.
Date published: 2024-07-19
Rated 2 out of 5 by from So So [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This micro came with my new built house. When it cooks, veggies, potatoes, warms up leftovers, the door is soaked with water to the point when I open the door to retrieve the food, the water runs down the front of the built in oven underneath the micro. The interior is also very wet, I need to dry the inside before I close the door after the meal is cooked. What gives??? Never had this issue before with my many, many micros.
Date published: 2024-06-12
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficult to use because cannot see through window [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a nice size and works well, I just cannot see the food cooking through the window. The door glass is too dark to tell if my food is boiling over. The only thing I can see is the light bulb but not the food. I didn't know this was going to be an issue until I received the microwave. Warner Stellian did not have one on display and I would not of guessed it would have this issue since none of my previous microwaves were a problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from New model's trim kit doesn't work Previous KA microwave went out, new model means new trim kit which doesn't work with the previous microwave even though they are both 27". Seems like they're just trying to generate sales at the expense of customer loyalty. Job well done!
Date published: 2024-04-18
Rated 2 out of 5 by from New Microwave [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Microwave works great, but the trim kit I desperately need is still unavailable apparently. I have a huge hole around the Microwave that is a major eye sore in our kitchen.
Date published: 2023-12-04
Rated 2 out of 5 by from No one step clock settings [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't believe you didn't put a cook setting on the Microwave. How stupid is that. You put a 30 second timer, 1 Min, 2 Min, 3 Min, etc., but your stupid Marketing people don't think the consumer should set the timer for let's say 10 seconds, or 15 seconds, etc. You can set it for let's say 15 seconds but it takes you several steps to do it.
Date published: 2023-11-25
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t like [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t like that it doesn’t have a number pad. You have to pick 1-5 minutes and add or subtract time with the + or - button.
Date published: 2024-08-11
Rated 1 out of 5 by from very frustrating [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i bought a different model and it wasn't working. they replaced it but the model had been "upgraded" I don't see well and didn't notice that it doesn't operate with numbers. the numbers on it are a pre-set thing. I can't get the power level that I want and we just use the 30 second reheat for everything. no I'm not happy with it at all.
Date published: 2024-04-18
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total mess [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third attempt to replace the kit hand which shot flames from inside about three months ago. The first one stopped working after two weeks. The most recent one worked for about the same time but now the door won’t open when you push the button. What am I to do? Wait on the phone for another two hours?
