So Many Features Allow Custom Washes

I love the way the racks can be moved around to fit things in it. It cleans everything I put in it and they are dry when I pull them out. The number of ways you can modify the settings is incredible. We've been using this for about 3 weeks and we're very satisfied. It cleans thoroughly and the best part is it dries everything, even plasticware. The only thing I don't understand is why add Wi-Fi to a dishwasher? Not a big deal though.

3 Great Things About this Dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Here are three great things about this dishwasher! 1. It does wash and dry dishes in about an hour. I use the high temperature wash which adds a few minutes more. 2. Generic store brand dishwasher tablets work just as well as national brands, but are less expensive, and 3. It's incredibly quiet.
This dishwasher also has lots of good features and I highly recommend it. I'm glad we bought it and would buy another one, but I anticipate this dishwasher will last a long time! Thanks LG!

Highly Recommend This Dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this is a great dishwasher. Very quiet with superior wash & drying capabilities. The one hour cycle is a nice feature with very good results. The racks allow for large capacity loading. I would like to see slightly more room in the upper most self but not a major issue. An interior light would also be a useful addition. I would also recommend an additional option for the location of the discharge hose other than the bottom left or right side. Some kitchens have services (supplies lines or studor valves, etc) which require the discharge hose to be positioned higher making the dishwasher install somewhat tight and adding to the installation time requirement.

Game changing and convenient features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never knew how valuable a one hour wash and dry cycle was until I saw it in action! When I first used this cycle I was expecting some of the dishes to have streaks or even be cracked. All I can say is no streaks, no fingerprints and no cracked glasses! As if that wasn’t enough, I also washed my tupperware in there and they didn’t melt. That’s a first. I was happy to replace my old Bosch with this new LG dishwasher.

Sleek Modern Dishwasher with Great Features
We’ve had our new LG dishwasher for about 3 weeks now and it’s been a great improvement from our old one. Overall this dishwasher is very sleek and looks great in our kitchen. I love the pocket handle design, gone are the days of bumping into the towel bar that stuck out from our old one. The controls on the top are nice and hidden yet while the dishwasher is running there is a modern LED light that lets us know how much time is left. The 3 racks make this dishwasher very versatile. The third rack is perfect for small items like my kids water bottle straws and tupperware lids so they don’t melt or fall through to the bottom anymore. The adjustable middle rack is a really nice touch that adds versatility to accommodate large items like my Yeti water bottle that shouldn’t go on the bottom but could not fit in our old dishwasher. We hosted my daughter’s birthday party the first week after we got the new dishwasher and the 1-hour cycle came in handy. I was able to run a quick load with all of the dishes from our appetizers and it was quiet so it didn’t disrupt dinner. It was done before we finished dinner so we could reload right away, and the dishes came out clean and dry. I connected the dishwasher to the app since we have a few other LG appliances already connected. So far it let me customize the chime sound and sends an alert when a load is finished. It also looks like it can download new custom cycles but I haven’t tried any of those yet. So far very happy with this new dishwasher and glad we replaced our old Bosch.

I just moved into my new townhome last year, so although I had a brand new Fisher & Paykel dual drawer dishwasher (which is technically a more expensive dishwasher than this LG LDPH5554), I wasn't a fan of the dual drawers - it was nice for drying my dishes after washing them by hand, but the added flexibility of having dual drawers limited its capacity and I would be unable to fit larger pots and pans into it. I'm also huge on having a smart home, so the fact that there was no WIFI connectivity was a huge miss for me.
These issues are now a thing of the past thanks to my new LG LDPH5554 dishwasher! The capacity with the adjustable tines and the easily adjustable upper rack height, plus the smart connectivity features are fantastic. I also love having a stainless steel tub vs. the plastic that was on my previous dishwasher. The top controls are nicely hidden away when the door is closed, so my child can no longer randomly press buttons anymore either; but I can still tell how much time is left by looking at the elegantly hidden clock or I can just check my smartphone to see how much time is left or if a cycle is complete. In fact, my LG TVs even notify me if the cycle is done, which is super convenient if I'm upstairs. Another thing I love is the 3rd rack, which my previous dishwasher obviously didn't have. My chopsticks no longer just fall through the cutlery basket and block the spray arms, nor do my long skinny utensils awkward protrude out and potentially block the upper spray arm. I must admit, I was a bit hesitant to try out the LG dishwasher after having heard they had issues with reliability in the past, and time will still tell, but the quality of this LG dishwasher has definitely come a long way, and I'm loving it so far. I'm already looking to potentially upgrade again within the LG lineup, because I'm eyeing the smoother easy glide racks and the addition of steam, but this dishwasher, at its price point, is a fantastic model and delivers everything that I want and need in a dishwasher.

Great tech that gets our dishes dry

Compared to that model this is leaps and bounds better in terms of technology and getting everything dry after a cycle. No more moist plates and bowls! The integration with the LG ThinQ app adds a layer of customization that brings a personal touch to an otherwise mundane task with custom cycles and seasonal ending melodies. I only wish those melodies were a bit louder, lol! I appreciate the dedicated maintenance cleaning modes too. The installers did a great job getting it setup for us and had no problem moving the old dishwasher to the basement. Just what we needed! Modern and sleek

So we were ready for a more modern look and function. This lg dishwasher checked all the boxes. Love the silverware rack at the top which is so functional. Also the middle rack which is adjustable and comes in handy when I need to add bigger pots on the bottom rack. It fits so much more than the older one we had. Love that the racks slide out so smoothly. The top controls are great and sleek to complete the more modern look and I love that I can see how much longer the cycle has on the digital clock. Overall, we're so pleased and happy we went with this model

There are three tier of racks. The middle rack is adjustable and top rack is very useful for utensils and some small items. Quiet, efficient, and smart!

It has a top rack for up to 12 place setting of utensils. I can wash my stemware as well!!! It's wifi capable which is so convenient because the mobile app allows control of the dishwasher remotely, enhanced settings control, and notifications about the wash cycle. We were able to connect it to our Alexa, so we get voice announcements too. Best dishwasher I have owned yet!!

Great overall
I am very pleased with this dishwasher. It dries very well with the high dry boost option and is extremely quiet. Loading is easy, and the top shelf for kitchen utensils is a great bonus in addition to the standard rack on the bottom shelf. All shelfs roll out very smoothly even with full load. It also has a 1-hour cycle, which I used for smaller loads, and it worked great. Additionally, I used the night dry option, which is perfect for us as we tend to leave it overnight, especially if I run the dishwasher late in the day.
The app is easy to use and comes in handy, especially when I forget to start the cycle and am already in bed. The 1-hour cycle is efficient and only increases to 1 hour 33 minutes (or 1 hour 43 minutes with high dry boost) with extra drying time, which is great if the dishes are not too dirty. Overall, this dishwasher has exceeded my expectations and has made kitchen cleanup much more convenient.

This is my 2nd LG dishwasher!
This is my second LG dishwasher. Why? Because the first one was so great! So, when I needed a new one, I headed straight to the LG's for a replacement. I never had to call a repairman. The first one just got old, like we all do. My first prerequisite was that it must be quiet. WOW. It is quiet!! My second was I wanted a stainless steel tub. Success! All in all I am as satisfied with the second one as I was with the first!

Good Dishwasher Except Missing Tub Light
We got this one to replace an older, nearly identical LG dishwasher that had lost the long battle with my ankles, running into it when the door was down (ouch!).This one has one or two new features, except it does not seem to have an interior tub light. I probably assumed they all did. Bought it online from an orange big box store. The product description on their web site says it has an interior light. I didn't notice it until after 48 hours so could no longer return it. I also has a strange click in the door hinge when you raise the door up to close it. Otherwise, don't get me wrong, this is a nice energy efficient unit and I have always like the ThinkQ app. Just not sure what to do about the missing interior light.

Cleans well, but NOT quiet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a replacement dishwasher, and because of my home layout, wanted/needed one that was very quiet. We'll, this is not it. This, at best, is an average dishwasher in terms of sound level. Very disappointing.
As for everything else, it's excellent. Capacity is crazy. You can just keep loading it and loading it. Features are great and the controls are intuitive.
Unfortunately, the sound level let's it's down. I would not have purchased it had I know how loud it was. Bad job by LG on that.
