Spectacular TV
I bought the LG G4 65" oled two weeks ago to replace a previous LG OLED I purchased 8 years ago. I cannot believe the difference. The picture is stunning. Even the sound, which I outboard to a speaker system through an amp, is noticeably better. And I like the improvements to the user interface, too. Well worth the money. Did I say, "Well worth the money?"

Best TV Ever Owned!
After reading glowing reviews, I 1st bought a 48” C1 and loved it. I wanted to replace my 16 yr old Pioneer plasma because it was getting dimmer, but still cranking out great quality. I had a Sony LCD, returned due to awful blooming and too high price. This 65” G4 is so amazing. Picture quality is best I have seen. Brightness and contrast brings out the exciting colors and blacks. eARC works well. There are so many settings I only wish there was a manual to guide customers to make best use of them.

Bright with no Reflections...love it

Love the center stand, made sitting on my entertainment center so much easier than those with the dinky legs on far outside edges. There is not a lot of 4K content to view on regular TV but I have seen a few shows and ...wow... picture is awesome...looking forward to many years of enjoying this awesome TV!

It is such an improvement over the 2016 LG OLED that it replaces. I am waiting for the LG S90 TR soundbar system to really experience the movie and shows as intended. This tv is wonderful.

I upgraded from a Samsung LCD that I had for 15 years and wow, I was blown away by the LG G4. The brightness, the clarity, the 144hz refresh rate capability for gaming and the surprisingly good sound for internal speakers. The 5-Year panel warranty also made it an easier decision to go with the LG G4 OLED. Thank you!

As a visually impaired user, I was pleased to note that this TV is extremely accessible. I really like how easy it is to turn on audio description. I would like to see an easier way to turn voice guidance on and off rather than holding down the mute button. Using the microphone cannot turn voice guidance on or off even though the help topic stating what voice commands can be used states that there is a voice command to enable or disable voice guidance. There are some channels missing that my Samsung had. These include dry bar, Drew Barimore, and Hallmark. The "hi LG" feature is interesting, though it says it can't recognize my voice even though I've set up a voice profile. But overall, I would recommend this TV to anyone over my older Samsung C90 QLED.

But the flashing and HDMI issues are a constant reminder that this TV isn't perfect. If LG can address these problems with a firmware update, then the G4 could truly be a masterpiece. Until then, it's a beautiful, yet flawed, piece of technology.

My previous LG OLED 65 purchased about 5 yrs ago was the best I've ever owned. It was severely damaged by lightning. I replaced it with the newest version, OLED65G4SUB. It has an even better picture and the built in sound bar is just right for my space.

Truly Incredible
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the LG G4 OLED for a few weeks now, and I'm incredibly impressed with the picture quality. The blacks are truly perfect, making for incredible contrast, especially when watching HDR content. Movies and shows come alive with detail, and the colors are vibrant and realistic.
The 120hz refresh rate is fantastic for gaming, making everything buttery smooth. There's also very little input lag, so fast-paced games feel incredibly responsive. If you're a gamer, this TV is a great choice.
LG's webOS smart TV platform is one of the best out there. It's easy to use and navigate, with a wide selection of streaming apps available. The webOS platform offers a vast library of apps, including all the major streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and HBO Max. The voice controls worked flawlessly, allowing me to search for content and adjust settings with ease. There's also a built-in program guide that makes it easy to find what you're looking for.
While the picture quality is amazing out of the box, I did find that SDR content required some calibration to get the most accurate colors. This is a minor nitpick, but something to consider if you watch a lot of non-HDR content. Also, the TV is incredibly thin and light, which is great for wall mounting, but it does feel a little flimsy when placed on a stand.
While most OLED TVs prioritize picture quality over sound, the LG G4 surprised me. The built-in speakers deliver clear dialogue and a wider soundstage than I expected. For casual viewing and movies, the audio is perfectly adequate. However, audiophiles will likely still want to pair the TV with a soundbar or surround sound system.
Upscaling breathes new life into older content
The LG G4's upscaling tech is impressive. Even when watching older DVDs or Blu-rays, the picture quality is noticeably improved. Fine details are sharper, and overall clarity is significantly boosted. This is a great feature for those who have a large collection of non-4K content.
The LG G4's minimalist bezels create a near bezel-less look that adds to the immersive viewing experience. The TV is very thin and light, making it perfect for wall mounting.
Overall, the LG G4 OLED is an exceptional TV that is top-of-the-line television and delivers exceptional picture quality, excellent gaming features, and a user-friendly smart TV platform. It is truly unmatched.
