About this Item

Overview

Lifesmart 1500W Oil Filled Radiator Electric Heater

The electric radiator heater operates silently to minimize disruptions. This makes it quiet enough to leave running even while you're on the phone, studying or trying to drift off to sleep at night. Three convenient heat settings make it easy to control the unit's output. Simply turn the knobs at the top of the radiator heater to quickly adjust its temperature. Automatic Safety Shut-Off turns the heater off to prevent the unit from overheating. A molded handle makes it easy to transport, and it stays cool while the unit is in use to help prevent burned fingers when you move it between locations. The Comfort Zone Radiator Heater's compact design allows it to fit into a wide variety of medium-sized spaces with ease. It comes equipped with convenient built-in cord storage and casters that swivel smoothly in any direction to allow you to quickly roll the heater from one room to another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s heavy and I haven’t used yet because of the hot days so far, but it looks easy to handle and from what I heard it gets the room warm very quickly so that’s a plus for me. I will be using in the living room

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice little heater! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this! It runs so quietly and warms very well. I put it in my living room that opens into a dining room/kitchen and it kept all three rooms very comfortable. I was afraid that you would be able to smell the oil, but I did not find that there was any odor at all. Very pleased with this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It provides continuous heat. The unit for the price is great. I provides CONSTANT HEAT by having a oil filled radiator that SAVES ELECTRICITY to only use electric when it is below its thermostat setting. Most important the heater continues to generate heat EVEN AFTER THE UNIT IS NOT USING ELECTRIC and will turn itself back on automatically to reach its thermostat setting. IF you have a portable generator that is outside your home, and have a power outage I suggest buying several of these safe heaters that can be hooked up by extension cords with the unique advantage of determining the number of watts needed on the settings of the heater. These also work great in cabins since they can never freeze and provide heat on demand. Lastly, I use this heater in my bedroom at night to save energy by reducing the energy being used to heat my entire house and also have one on my yacht to provide quiet heat inside the cabin to provide a constant 72 degree temperature during the cold days of Spring and Fall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent for the price I was replacing a very old DeLongi heater. This is smaller and substantially less expensive. It does a fair job of heating a 16x12 ft sun room with quality glass sliders on three side. I waited until we got freezing outside temps to write this review. Many reviews mention it does not heat well but it does an okay job and can keep the room just below 70F with it 32F outside. Is it as powerful as the DeLongi- no but I kind of expected that since the is was less surface area to the fins(it is smaller). I think some folks may not understand how the lights work. They go off when the room reached the temp set by the dial. However it only uses electricity when it is heating the oil. I believe you can hear it click off/on when the oil gets to/or below a safe level. The other heater did that also. It is very economical and I find it works as well at the 900 watt level as at the 1500 watt. I am not in this house during the coldest part of the winter so it is fine for me. If you are planning to heat a maximum size room in sub freezing temperature I would suggest a larger device with more fin area. As other reviews mention, the plastic holder for the cord is very sharp and could be used as a meat slicer. Need to watch your fingers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not pleased at all. I was very disappointed with this heater. I really thought that it would heat up the space, that I purchased it for. The area is not large at all. I can’t even tell it’s on, or warming the area needed.

I cannot figure out how to assemble the wheels. There isn't a manual in the box.

Asked by: Craig6598
1. Turn the heater upside down. Remove the wing nut from the straight tip of each U-bolt. Hook one U-bolt under the heater base between the heater control box and the next fin. 2. Align a pedal with the U-bolt tips. Insert the bent tip through one of the pedal bolt holes. Insert the straight tip through the other hole. Use the removed wing nut to secure the straight tip to the pedal. 3. Hook the other U-bolt under the heater base between the last two fins. Attach pedal in same manner as described in previous step. 4. Remove the nuts preassembled to the casters. Insert the caster stems through the caster holes in the pedals. Use the removed nuts to secure the casters to the pedals. Turn the heater upright.
