Great product for fall cleanup
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hedge trimmer is perfect for fall cleanup, we used it to trim all the hedges back, it handled it like a charm. It maintained charge throughout the cleanup and charged quickly when my neighbor wanted to borrow it. It did a fabulous job.

Great Trimmer!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do love my battery-powered yard tools! So much cleaner than gas and easier than rolling out the extension cord. This trimmer has a long cutting arm so it reaches a lot in each pass. I’m also impressed with how wide the teeth are. I didn’t measure exactly but I was cutting branches at least 1/4 inch wide. It’s quick to charge and the battery lasts. Great tool!

Love this tool!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m 62 years old and had no problem handling the Sun Joe 24V-HT22-Max 24 Bolt iON+ Cordless Hedge Trimmer. The 22” Rust Proof Blades cut through like butter with the dual action! The blades are long enough to keep me from “standing” in the bushes. Picking up the debris was harder than cutting them. There is no cord to trip over and it was ready to use right out of the box. The 24 volt battery was pre charged so no prep time. And it lasts plenty of time for me to do my yard grooming properly. The lightweight construction allows me to get the job done quickly, as I don’t tire as easily. The Sun Joe Hedge trimmer has hardly any vibration, making it easy for me to control to get a more even shape. I did make the mistake of leaving the blade cover in direct sun and it warped. Overall I really love the Sun Joe Cordless Hedge Trimmer! I might even plant some more bushes!!

Works great, and the battery is a beast!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This trimmer is designed for a homeowner with some bushes to trim occasionally. You probably won't see a commercial landscaper with one of these down at your local shopping center. That said, this trimmer does a great job doing what it's designed to do!
Assembly is simple - unbox and attach the handle with four Philips-Head screws. Charge the battery, and you're ready to trim some bushes. In my case, I had an overgrown Pittosporum hedge that you'll see in last the picture. It's been a few years since this hedge was trimmed, so I had to take about a foot off of the front, and it was grown almost up to the top of the windows. As such, there were some pretty thick stems and branches, and this trimmer handled them every bit as well as the corded one I usually use. I actually had to make several passes on the hedge, because we decided to take the hedge lower than I originally planned. I also topped out and shaped the holly bush you see in the distance at the corner of the house, and shaped up a few other bushes. When all of this was done - probably 30 - 45 minutes of trimming - I still had 2 of 3 LEDs lit up on the battery! The battery is relatively light, so I didn't expect that much in terms of capacity - but this one really surprised me!
I don't think I realized how much having to get out a few cords, string them together, and being aware of not cutting them with the trimmer was a pain. I think my bushes will be maintained more often just because this trimmer is so much more convenient.
This is my first experience with the Sun Joe brand, but I would absolutely consider them in the future.

OUTSTANDING! EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is genuinely nice when something actually exceeds your expectations, and the Sun Joe Model 24V-HT22-MAX 24 Volt, 22” Cordless Hedge Trimmer does just that! The HT22-MAX is absolutely outstanding!
I have been using a corded electric hedge trimmer for many years. Dealing with a 100’ extension cord, which has been cut by those shears a few times over the past 30 years, is more than a minor inconvenience and nuisance. However, I really wondered if a battery powered, cordless hedge trimmer would be capable of performing satisfactorily. Now that I have used the Sun Joe HT22-MAX I am incredibly impressed. The Sun Joe is far superior to the corded hedge trimmer that I have been using.
Getting the Sun Joe HT22-MAX ready for use was simple and straightforward. The only required assembly is the attachment of the loop style top handle, utilizing the four sheet metal screws included in the package. The pilot holes in the plastic shell are gauged a little small, so driving those screws required effort, however that was the full extent of assembly.
The 4.0 Amp Hour Lithium Ion battery charged relatively quickly on the included charger. The battery has three LED lamps for checking the battery charge level, and the charger has an LED lamp which illuminates red when charging, and green when charging is complete.
The 22” cutter assembly has nice wide spacing of the teeth of the dual-action blades, which made cutting through even the thicker branches of my various shrubs and hedges fast and easy. I am incredibly impressed with the cutting performance of the Sun Joe HT22-MAX which is both powerful and efficient. The 22” blades have good reach which made it easy to trim my shrubs. The HT22-MAX is lightweight at less than ten pounds, it is well-balanced, and is therefore pleasant to use and not fatiguing.
A very nice feature is that the “trigger” is actually a long trigger bar that is easily squeezed with four fingers; a full-hand grip and squeeze. There is also a safety button on the side of the handle which prevents the accidental operation of the trimmers.
As soon as I got to work with the Sun Joe HT22-MAX I was extremely impressed. The HT22-MAX cuts fast and with the powerful motor and double-action blades it cuts through even thicker branches easily. The 4.0 Ah battery had plenty of capacity remaining after I finished trimming all of my hedges and shrubs. The HT22-MAX worked so effectively that it substantially reduced the amount of time required for the same trimming job that I have performed many, many times. It also substantially reduced the amount of effort required to complete the work.
I am extraordinarily pleased with the Sun Joe HT22-MAX cordless hedge trimmers. It made a previously onerous yard maintenance task fast, easy and low-effort. The HT22-MAX hedge trimmers are absolutely great. I wish that I had the HT22-MAX years ago.

Simple to use
Trims my hedges and flower stems without the worry of an attached cord. I can grab this trimmer and trim my flower gardens with ease. Doesn't sound like it has the rpm power of my corded trimmer, but it does the same job. Very happy because it makes my work fun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sun Joe 24V Cordless Hedge Trimmer Kit does not disappoint. The cordless hedge trimmer is lightweight and easy to handle. The ease with which it cut through branches made the hedge trimming work faster and more efficient. The battery provided great power and charged quickly. Although we didn't run out of battery life, I think it's a good idea to have an extra battery handy for the longer jobs. The 55 min. charge time matches the run time, so you can just swap the batteries when needed.

Great hedge trimmer
Hedge trimmer was easy to assemble and the battery charged quickly. It is light and easy to use. The power was comparable to corded electric trimmers that I have used previously. I was able to trim to bushes with plenty of battery life remaining.

Best yard tool

Convenient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has made trimming hedges so easy and much quicker than before when I was using the big shears! I was apprehensive of getting hedge trimmers because I thought they would require more upkeep and gas/electric wiring but this is completely cordless and does not require much effort from my side. The battery last me the full session which typically an hour and I am able to trim all the hedges around my house in one charge. We have around 10 hedges/bushes on 0.25 acre lot so not a crazy lot but still plenty if you have manually cutting them. There is enough power that this trimmer is delivering so it doesnt feel like its getting stuck or struggling. There is a safety switch that prevents accidentally starting it if you are holding it and not intending to start it.Comes with a two year warranty as well. For my small backyard and frontyard this is doing just fine!

Light weight and easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really surprised how light and easy to use this model is. Have always used gas trimmer so when I got this I wasn't sure it would compare. Boy was I wrong! It has a quick charge time and lasted about an hour and a half which was enough to do 15 bushes. My arms weren't tired from holding the weight which was nothing at all. I cut through inch size branches without any bog down. So I am completely happy with this trimmer. Plus I didn't have to after gas.

Easy and effective!

It is so easy to use, just attach the battery and push a button! I was worried it wouldn't be as powerful as the gas powered ones, but I am pleasantly surprised. My bushes look fantastic after just an hour or so of work. It also has a safety switch so I'm not worried about my kids accidentally using it. Great product!

I really like this product

It’s lightweight and cuts through the hedges with ease. I used it for about an hour and the battery still had charge. I’m completely satisfied with this product.

So super fast charging is also a plus. The trimmer part itself is very sharp and cuts well. The safety guard it comes with is a nice feature too. My favorite part is that there is no cord you have to worry about cutting off.

Power Up and Trim!

Light weight and super easy to use

Works Great - Excellent Hedge Trimmer!

I had previously wondered if a cordless hedge trimmer would be powerful enough for mature shrubbery with thicker growth - this one does the job well! It is so much easier than dragging a cord around or mixing/refilling/maintaining a gas trimmer. The battery not only provides great power, but charges quickly and has a very convenient indicator to show level of charge. Great on Small Shrubs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a large shrub in the back, even on a full charge I didn't get a perfectly clean cut - especially on the bigger branches. But for the same branches, this works great. I am able to clean up a large area without much effort. Lightweight for reaching up high. Will use on the small stuff.

Good but has flaws
This trimmer worls great on small hedge or bushes with thin branches but the blades don’t seem very dharp as branches over 1/4” ot seems to chew the stem not cut it. The blades arent ground to cut. Also the button is small and sharp edge so I got a blister holding the button in to trim

Another Right hand only tool!
The safety switch is on the left, so when you grasp it with your right hand, the switch is under your thumb. I'm left handed, so it's not very easy to use.
