My family of 4 uses a lot of ice and we never run out. Door ice/water dispense is great for large cups/thermos. Plenty of room in both freezer and fridge. Is a proven model, has been around for years. Price was good for quality of unit!

New version vs. Earlier version
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this refrigerator to replace an earlier version of the same refrigerator, which was only three years old. The earlier version worked perfectly; we needed to replace it for personal reasons. We like upgrades Whirlpool incorporated into the new version. For example, the ice dispenser more accurately distributes ice vs. the earlier refrigerator: Your ice actually lands in your glass rather than on the floor. Also, the levers for the ice and water dispensers are larger and operate more easily; the tray below the dispensers is larger and slides out a bit for easier cleaning; when one of the doors is inadvertently left open, the display panel on the left door shows a red icon to signal you to shut the door. Inside, the new refrigerator seems more spacious and welcoming. We like the new version very much.
