Great Product
I have been using August lock for many years. Decided to upgrade and get the newest version. It is so simple to install and just a great idea to integrate with my apple smart products. Definitely love the auto lock/ unlock feature it just makes life alittle easier when leaving or coming back home.

Love this smart lock.
This is exactly what we wanted. Not obvious from the outside that it’s a smart lock and we can share access as needed. Only issue battery lasts approx. 3 to 4 months. Wish it were a bit longer.

Love my lock!
It is so nice. When I come home, it recognizes me and unlocks the door! That's great when you have groceries! Also, I can lock and unlock the front door from upstairs! What a great feature in an emergency. I love my lock.

Great Smart Lock
This lock is excellent for my smart home upgrade. Can open door with my phone or keypad. Plus, door auto-unlocks when i arrive back home without me having to do anything but get close to the house/door with my phone. Sends instant updates when the door is opened or closed and tells who opened/closed it. Also, works with SmartThings and Google home. Love it!

Love my August lock
I bought this 4 years ago when we first bought our current home. At first we just used Bluetooth because the router was too far away, but we ended up moving the router for other reasons and now the door connects to the WiFi making it easy to lock or unlock the door remotely or even from the car as we pull up. I like that it looks like a regular lock from the outside so no one will try to use random codes to try and hack it. We use the bronze one and I added a tiny glow in the dark triangle sticker so we can see from across the large room if it’s in “locked” position. I highly recommend it.

I am loving my first smart lock!
The August smart deadbolt is super easy to install and secure. The compatibility with multiple smart home ecosystems is a plus. The auto lock feature is very convenient. The auto unlock feature works perfectly. Be sure to add your home WiFi networks under "Auto-unlock" in the August app.
Some users complained about battery consumption, I will have to report back on that. In an attempt to conserve battery power link your lock to a 2.4ghz network. I purchased the August "Connect" WiFi bridge to offload the WiFi power consumption and extend battery life
