A DEFINITE MUST HAVE
I bought this a few months ago when we were getting ready to have company and needed to share a house key. It has turned out to be the best purchase I ever made! It has made sharing house keys with anyone that I need to share a key with super easy. It is easy to use because it works with my phone app and I can make sure my door is locked even when away from home. I especially love that it automatically locks after a certain length of time so that when people are coming and going, I never have to worry about them leaving the door unlocked. Highly recommended!

Excellent Smart Locks
I have been using four 1st generation August Smart Locks for about 10 years and they continue to perform exceptionally well. I use these locks in three different houses. These locks easily allow me to add and remove access for guests while I am remote. I am sure the latest models match the performance as the original with functional and physical improvements like reduced size. I highly recommend this product and I am sure I will update my locks at some point.
I also have four August Wi-Fi Bridge Connects. I am not as impressed with these units. When they work they do a fantastic job but the often loose signal, disconnect, and I have to periodically reset them. All of them are located in close proximity of a Wi-Fi signal and the door lock so I don't understand why their performance fluctuates so much. I still highly endorse the August Locks so don't let my comments about the August Connect deter you from considering the lock. My 5 star rating is for the August Lock.

Works great and works with our existing lock perfectly. I do recommend getting 4 rechargeable batteries and always having 2 ready to go. The regular lithium 123 batteries can get expensive. Love it!😍

My friend recommended the lock, and it is a godsend! Never worry about Trying to find your key, especially you mom‘s out there who have your hands full. It also makes you always know where your phone is. Click the button. You can let anyone in your home that you decide to buy for our beach home as well!

Easy to use!!
I've had the smart lock for about a month or so now and love it. Not having to hold onto or look for the right key has made coming and going from my house so much easier. Being fully disabled isn't fun and this has definitely made my life a lot easier.

Great when original exterior lock can't be changed
Works with wifi or Bluetooth
Works with the August app and can also ntegrates with Samsung SmartThings. I believe it also works with Matter thought I have not yet integrated it.
Easy to install and configure
Perfect for a condo suite: the exterior lock remains the same with the unit key and the master key of the building custodian. Only the inside portion of the lock needs to be replaced with the August lock.

Nice to have m!
August lock system works great and is a time saver. I appreciate just getting near my front door and it unlocks. Also ability to set temp codes for guests/others is a real convenience. Battery life a little shorter than I’d like, but that’s serious 1st world problems

Much better and smaller than the older generation
