Get it!
It's so sleek and modern looking. I personally love the blue /red light up feature but also appreciate that there is a way to turn it off. I haven't used it enough yet to vouch for the oven capability and consistency of heat but I can definitely say I'm excited to!

24 in gas beauty
So far so good, don't cook that much, single in small condo, but did take the extra insurance out on it just to be safe. The best of the 24 in gas range...

Cute little stove
This stove requires a learning curve. You can't just turn the knobs and flames work you have to push in the knobs and then turn. The oven also needs to be pushed in and held before hearing a clicking sound and then turning to the temperature you need. Otherwise it is a tiny 24 inch stove that looks good and fits my small apt kitchen. I like the colors letting you know if the stove is on or off.

Best 24" gas range you can get for the money
I searched all over for a good 24" gas range. I found that there were hardly any with positive reviews unless they were commercial grade for $2,000+. We've had this range for a few months now and it has worked great so far. We haven't had any problems. We did buy a range thermometer and we can more accurately monitor the temperature. Overall very happy with this range.

So far so good.
I bought this range about 5 months ago...so far so good. The range is a small very attractive range....the oven works perfectly. The only issue I have is lighting the ignition....I have to hold down the knobs for about 6 seconds to ignite...If I release it before the 6 seconds it turns off. Other than that...I am happy with this stove.

Gorgeous high end look; just OK if you cook
This stove is fabulous looking. It is really impressive, and ups the look of our kitchen reno. If you want a great look in a small space and you don't cook much, this is the stove for you. However, if you need to use the oven, and especially if you bake, DO NOT buy this stove.
Other reviewers have noted that turning the flame on takes a few seconds due to a childproof feature (that can't be turned off). I have on occasion thought I had lit the flame when I hadn't. I'm adjusting to it, not a major issue.
But the oven:
1. You can't just turn the dial to the temperature you want. You have to open the oven door, turn the dial all the way to 500 degrees, hold it for a minute until you see the flame, then adjust to your temperature.
2. It takes forever to heat up. I had a repair guy come because I really thought it wasn't calibrated properly. He claimed that it is. But it's very hard to get a specific temperature (the cheap ugly stove that came with my apartment had a far better oven).
3. We learned the hard way that when you change the temperature - as when a recipe says to start at 450 degrees then lower to 350, for example - the oven usually just turns off. So when you go back to check your food, it 's been sitting in a cooling oven. Not great when roasting and disaster when baking! The instructions even refer - several times - to "if the oven shuts off" Even though we know it happens and try to be alert to it, it's still happens.
Important installation information: the unit is not 24" wide. It is 23.5 inches wide. And it will not go all the way to the back wall, so without a backboard on the unit (that's one of the things that makes it look so good, right?) there will be an open space of about two inches between the stove and the back wall. You will need to build out something to keep items from falling behind the stove.
We've had this stove for about 5 months. I would definitely not buy it again.

Great Design but Flaw in Function
I looked at many, many gas ranges before settling for this one. It simply had one of the best designs for that price range. I love the digital clock in the center with the blue light (makes it easy to time recipes) and all the knobs also come with a blue light that surrounds the knobs when the burners are off. They are much too bright though, and at night my kitchen looked like a disco...but i found the button to turn them off and it looks much better. The blue light around the knob is also a safety feature which lets you know that the burners are off. When the burners are lit, the lights turn red. The problem with this stove is the safety feature that is built in which does not allow it to turn on right away when you turn the knobs to ignite the burners. Apparently this was designed to prevent children to easily turn the knobs accidentally. It is very hard to turn on the knobs (time-consuming). When you turn the knob to light a particular burner, you have to hold it down for up to 10 seconds otherwise it won't light. I found that very frustrating at first, then i got used to it and decided to keep the range. I'm still disappointed that it won't light right away, but the excellent design won me over. Function followed Form in this case.

Disappointed!
I have this stove for 2 years now and I would like to take it out.
The oven temperature is very hard to regulate and is inconsistent.
The gas on the stove top takes time to turn on properly and is very annoying.
Even though it does have a nice appearance on the outside, for someone who
cooks often like myself, I would not recommend it.

Returned it within a week
I hated this range so much I exchanged it within one week. While the Avanti claims to be a 24-inch range, it was narrower than my previous 24-inch stove which left a gap. The oven was also smaller in cubic feet, so my roasting pans didn't fit. The largest burner was on the left, which in my kitchen is against the wall, so the handle of my large sauté pan had to either stick out into the room or across the other burners, which are usually also in use. And the lowest setting was too high to simmer. I wound up returning it for the same model as my previous stove.

Burners Broken -- No One Has Replacement Parts
Bought this at P.C. Richard 2 years ago. It had some funky qualities: for instance you have to set the oven to 15 degrees hotter than the recipe calls for to get the desired temp. Also, the clock slowly diverges from the correct time. Also, the oven every now and then completely shuts off when you're changing the temperature, this happened not once but twice on Thanksgiving!
My biggest issue is with the burners. One started clicking all the time and repair technicians were able to fix it for a fee. Another one stopped working completely. The repair company said they called all over and there is no replacement part available before and that this is a common experience with Avanti. I'll never buy this brand again because of that experience -- I don't appreciate a company that does nothing to help their customers.

Horrible
Only purchase this oven if you DON'T LIKE TO COOK OR USE AN OVEN. It's terrible quality. As others noted, there is no accurate temperature in the oven. Cooktop burns WAY too hot. It's really a piece of junk and poor quality. Can't wait to get rid of it.

Absolute Garbage
Save your money. 99% of the time, I turn on the oven, and it turns off on its own after I place the food in. If you enjoy your food cooked, I don't recommend you buy this!

Cannot reach temperature!
This oven is a joke. It looks professional but it does not reach any accurate temperature setting in the oven. If you need to use the oven to bake or roast, forget about about it. Its too hot or too low, and there is no way to predict what it is going to do. One day 350 will go to 400. Another day 350 will stay at 300. Sometimes 450 goes to 500! The lowest setting sometimes also just dies out on its own. One minute the oven is on with a flame showing, 10 minutes later nothing. Poof. The gas range on top has one large burner, 2 medium and a little one. The little one does not turn low enough to simmer without burning. The large one does not turn high enough to sear. Plus you have to hold the knob pushed in for about 10 seconds before anything happens. This is a terrible oven and it is not cheap.

Oven knob stuck on - dangerous
We brought this from PC Richards 18 months ago. While baking the oven knob became stuck open. We could not turn the oven off. We used the gas value to cut off the gas and unplugged the oven. This is the second Avanti we had. The oven door stopped closing properly on the first one after just 2 years. Best avoided.

Q&A
Is the oven a self cleaning oven?
yes, I can answer. I would not get it based on the grills. They do not clean well. They get stains on the top and the black becomes white. Dont' get it. Or if you love it ask the salesman to guarantee the grills are cleanable to look exactly like they look now. then take a photo of the grill and say if they don't can I get my money back. Well, they will not guarantee that. So DONT DO IT

How does this oven indicate that it is preheated?
It doesn’t. It’s a terrible oven.

can the led lights around the knobs be turned off? are the knobs metal or plastic?
Led lights can be turned off. Knobs are metal ring with grey plastic
