The material is waterproof but doesn’t impact any of the moisture wicking or temperature regulating features that the mattress comes with. The product states that it has a 10 year warranty. If anything should get through the cover the company states either a replacement or professional cleaning will be done so that the warranty that the mattress comes with is still valid.
