Cleans my dishes well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the look of the stainless-steel finish on the exterior of this dishwasher. The racks have a different arrangement than my previous dishwasher had, but I figured out how best to load my dirty dishes. The cycles do clean my dishes well.

Great Dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like our new Bosch 800 Series Diswasher. It is extremely quiet, the 60 minute short cycle is all we use and it cleans everything very well. The dishwasher holds seveal days dishes, far more than our prior dishwasher. The top cutlery rack is flexable so we can put similar items together and when dry, pick them up and put them right in the drawers without resorting them.

Super quiet and efficient
Amazing unit, large, nearly silent, cleans well, a great upgrade from our old noisy one which would fail to drop the soap into the wash half the time. Not cheap but we can have a conversation in our kitchen at the same time as we’re running a wash, so that’s nice…

I don't understand why you need to start your appliance from your phone but what ever. It's much easier just to start it from the top of the dishwasher after you put soap in it. I do love my dishwasher .

Missing one thing

The dishes come out dry except for dips where water collects. The controls are easy to use and intuitive. However, two utensil baskets should be provided instead of the standard one. I went ahead an ordered an additional basket online.

So far, so good
So far, so good. Very quiet, and everything is quite clean after running through this device. It’s replacing another Bosch, so we’re accustomed to the quiet and the competence. The last one lasted more than a decade, so we’re hoping this one lasts that long. So far, all signs are good. Haven’t tried the smart tools yet, but we’ll update this review if they aren’t up to snuff. Thanks, Bosch - a happy camper!

Bosch Dishwasher Series 800
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my Bosch 800 Series in September 2024. I rated the dishwasher as excellent (5 stars). No problems on the proformance. The only thing that I would recommend is to have a larger silverware holder on first rack. I love the dishwasher so much that I just purchased my son & bonus daughter the Bosch Series 500 in March 2025. The 800 Series was out of stock at the time of my second purchase. I wanted to give them a gift that would keep on giving day after day. Needless to say, they also love their new Bosch dishwasher.

It runs very efficiently and our dishes have come out much cleaner than they were with our prior Kitchenaide dishwasher. It takes under 2 hours to run a full load of dishes and they also are dry upon completion. It is very quiet and we've enjoyed having the app connectivity to tell us if something is dislodged during a cycle and the cycle did not run correctly.

It dries magnificently. Don't fret about the small silverware basket, I put all the silverware in the 3rd tray and there's plenty of space. I couldn't be happier. I've had several dishwashers -buy this one!

So quiet!

The first time I used it, I got up three times to check to make sure was working. I had to put my ear on the front of the dishwasher to finally hear it working. Since I have an open floor plan, this is the dishwasher for me. I also really like the third tray for the silverware and other small items. I highly recommend this dishwasher.

Bosch replacement of 15 year old Bosch

The prior one was still working but needed minor repairs that we didn't wish to invest in given its age. We love this new one and are still learning its differences from the prior machine. Love my new dishwasher

I am having trouble getting used to loading some of my dishes. Some of my plastic containers don't seem to fit in any of the standing up racks. Review after Seventeen Months Use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased Bosch 800 Series Dishwasher model SHP78CM5N seventeen months ago on October 27, 2023. Here is my review.
Noise: Dishwasher is extremely quiet, often it’s difficult to hear that it’s actually running.
Odor: Noticed after it’s first use that the dishwasher “off gasses” or gives off an odor that smells like Plastic heating up, Tar, Hot Asphalt or Burning Oil that’s due to the type of soundproofing called Bitumen, that the exterior of the dishwasher is coated with. When running the dishwasher I’ve had to burn a candle near the dishwasher to try to cover up the asphalt odor. Initially the odor was very strong. Seventeen months later it’s March 28, 2025 and the dishwasher odor seems to be a lot less, and I’m hoping that in time the asphalt odor will continue to decrease to zero. Per a web search, Bitumen is almost unavoidable in today’s dishwashers.
Problems: Only problem we’ve had is the Upper Spray Arm, located below the upper basket, comes off/disconnects and it falls to the bottom of the dishwasher where it blocks the lower spray arm from rotating and gives an Error. When the Upper Spray falls off whatever is on the upper rack and on the top silverware tray doesn’t get proper cleaning and rinsing. The problem is fairly easy to resolve: the Upper Spray Arm needs to be replaced and secured in place with one-quarter-turn of its plastic “locking device” both of which reassemble only one way, so you can’t screw up replacing them (kudos to the engineers for that foolproof design). The reason why the arm falls off is when the lower basket is pulled forward and pushed rearward tall items in the center of the lower basket hit the upper spray arm plastic “locking device”, and after enough hits the plastic “locking device” gradually unscrews loose and the “locking device” and upper spray arm falls off.
Cleaning: is Excellent.
Drying: the Crystal Dry setting uses a natural Zeolith mineral which does an excellent job of heating the initial water and later heating the interior of the dishwasher to dry dishes and silverware (without any physical heating element). Non-dishwasher plastics will however be at the mercy of the temperature of the heat and can be distorted or damaged.
Overall I recommend the dishwasher, just be prepared to put up with the asphalt odor for awhile.

Whisper Quiet With Versatile Cleaning Choices
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 2 months in and I LOVE this dishawasher thus far! Install was fairly easy. Unbelievably quiet and does a terrific job cleaning dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, you name it!
I still do rinse off any loose or substantial food deposits, but it only takes a second and why put any more of that nasty food gunk in your dishwasher than you need to anyway?
Love the different settings for different power washing areas and soiling conditions. It looks great too!!
Love the WiFi connection and app for remote monitoring/controlling! My only complaint is, depending on how you load things, it does not always get everything 100% dry, but worst case loading I'd say it does 95% drying.
If you're looking for a top of the line dishwasher, I highly recommend looking at this model!!!
