Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always great sound I bought this a month ago to replace my 10 year old (or more?) Bose Color SoundLink, which will be missed. I like the updated cable, upgraded Bluetooth, and new app options of this Bose Flex 2 SoundLink. Sound matches the older Bose, and the old “brick” style I owned from even longer ago! Ha! Glad to continue with you for my portable speaker needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No other speaker comes close! This one is for my father for Christmas. I bought mine a few months ago and it goes everywhere with me. Incredible sound even for the road. I had to drive to LA a couple of weeks ago from Texas in a noisy truck and I could hear my books, maps, and music perfectly! I know my dad will be as thrilled as I am!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Travel partner This speaker had the sound quality and flexibility I’ve been looking for. As a dad of 3 little ones that travels a lot we always need something light weight and compact to take with us as we enjoy music where ever we go. One thing I didn’t plan for was durability and the Soundlink Flex 2nd gen surely stood up to the abuse from the children throwing it around, falls, even juice and water spills. I loved that it didn’t take up a lot of space yet the sound quality was great. Even when we were outdoors in the parks and beaches it sounded great! We’ve found our new travel partner! Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small in stature containing a massive sound The Bose Flex 2 SoundLink is a remarkably small speaker that packs a ton of audible punch while on the go. I’ve bought numerous portable/Bluetooth speakers over the years, and none come close to this latest model from Bose! This speaker's footprint is less than a third of its bigger brother (the Bose SoundLink Max) and carries a minor lower register penalty from its diminutive size. However, the audio wizards at Bose struck the perfect balance between weight, size, and performance in my mind. I’ve taken this speaker everywhere, testing it in numerous settings before posting this feedback. It joined me on my recent whitetail hunting trip on the eastern plains, saw the top of a 14,000-foot mountain on a backpacking expedition, and has flown coast to coast in my backpack while on business travel. This speaker has been a fantastic travel companion and hasn’t slowed me down one bit. If you are hunting for a focused sound, place the speaker upright towards your seating position. However, if you want a more room-filling experience, laying it down (speakers firing up) gives the best experience for this situation. Let’s talk about some musical choices used during this evaluation. I gravitate towards Metalcore, Rock, and fairly bass-heavy musical styles. As alluded to earlier, the larger SoundLink Max digs deeper, but the trade-off is a significantly heavier speaker (not to mention a much more significant dent in your wallet). One of the first songs I usually try is Post Malone’s Rockstar to see how low a speaker goes, and for this tiny speaker, it performed remarkably well. I then try Bullet to the Heart - Revanent (played in F key with a significant double bass kick). You can hear each distinct slap of the bass kick pedal, and they do not get muddied at all (unlike one of its competitors, the Beats Pill, which failed to produce the same distinction). I then switched to Written by Wolves - Goddess to hear how it handles Rock meets EDM music — fantastic! For a blend between metal and R&B, Jeris Johnson’s When the Darkness Comes fits the bill, and this was the most surprising experience. The Flex 2 SoundLink sounds fantastic during the lower beat hits post-chorus! Moving to slower music, Jelly Roll - I Am Not Okay tests against his signature growl and voice gravel. What an excellent little speaker! However, I think my favorite use case is a bit of an oddity — it is FANTASTIC for telepresence meetings (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, and Amazon Chime). I tired of my smaller monitor-style speakers on my limited desk space, which admittedly is dominated by my 49” Dell monitor, MacBook Pro, and peripherals. Linking this Flex 2 SoundLink via Bluetooth was a snap, and it fits perfectly below the monitor. I could clearly hear all the meeting participants. Other participants told me that the built-in microphone also made my voice sound warm and inviting on their end of the call. One small area that I would love to see more improvement is Bose’s newest Speaker Linking feature. It functions perfectly between two identical Flex 2 SoundLink models, but it does not work between dissimilar models within the same SoundLink family (for example, one Flex 2 and one SoundLink Max). I’m sure there is a reason why this doesn’t work, but I would love to have this functionality if possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound and volume Absolutely loved this product! I also have the max version of this speaker and this speaker has almost the same volume without all the bulk of the max. The sound quality is great whether your playing music from YouTube or Spotify or even Apple Music.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Many Uses!!! I love this speaker! I literally take it everywhere and use it for so many things. It’s lightweight and small but sounds like it’s 10x its size. It’s great to use while on the treadmill or stationary bike and because of its size it rests securely with no risk of falling off. We take it to the pool, to the playground, to the soccer field, and even strap it to the baby stroller when we go for walks. Since we have small kids and don’t want the TV to be too loud after bedtime, we connect the speaker to the TV then sit it right next to us on the couch! It’s a game changer to be able to hear at the volume you want without risk of waking the kiddos up!! I’m having a difficult time thinking of anything that I’d wish were different for the speaker except for the beep when you power it up is a bit too loud, but even that’s not really a big deal. Oh I almost forgot that it charges really fast too. I mean I think it only took like 30 min to go from 10% to 100% and the battery life is awesome. This speaker is totally worth it, go ahead and get one for yourself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great portable speaker This is my go-to portable speaker as it delivers great sound for the price and weight. It weights around 1.3lbs which is easy enough to carry around. Some features I wish it offered was a hook on the strap so that I can just hook it onto my bag without needing a carabiner or similar hook and a 3.5mm jack so it can connect to older devices as an output.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact and LOUD! Bose's SoundLink Flex Portable Bluetooth Speaker is tiny but MIGHTY! The audio quality delivers smooth, clear and crisp sound that allows me to catch every beat. My son even splashed it a few times in the pool and this little guy was unfazed! Connecting to it is a breeze, just turn on and go. Love throwing this in my bag for a quick get together rather than lug around a heavy huge speaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great system My friend had one and I was listening to it. The sound was amazing. I knew I had to have one. There's a station on the car radio I love and was trying to figure out how I could get that sound. Not on the TV or computer but where I could listen to it anywhere and get the sound I wanted. This was perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great portable speaker This is a great speaker that packs a punch for its size. Sound quality is pretty consistently good at all levels and I find that it gets impressively loud at the highest volumes. The bass isn't as rich and/or deep as the Soundlink Max, but the mid and treble are good. Unfortunately I don't have the first gen Soundlink Flex so I'm unable to compare the sound quality from first to second gen, but I'm objectively pretty happy with the sound quality of the second gen. Overall, I think this is a great quality speaker for the price point and great for everyday use. In terms of design and functionality, I find that this is truly a portable speaker. It's lightweight and has a little strap on the side that allows you to hook it onto a carabiner, etc. It feels pretty sturdy, which makes it easy to throw into a tote bag for on-the-go use. The material is fairly dust-resistant which I appreciate. Battery life is as-advertised. I mostly use the speaker at home and carry it with me from room to room. Would be good to see more color options in the future. I also have the Soundlink Max and was successfully able to pair the Soundlink Flex for party mode, which is a lot of fun and a great feature. I'll note that I also have the Soundlink Revolve and haven't been able to pair that one with any other speakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Speaker for my kids’ room, where they can listen to audiobooks and songs. It’s very portable and fits into my work bag. I can listen to my music and books while I work. It’s perfect for jobs like bus or van drivers who can’t wear headphones. Bose, you did it again amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect compact portable speaker! The first thing I would like to highlight is how easy it is to use this speaker. You can easily connect it to any device via Bluetooth and the compact size of the speaker is perfect without compromising the sound quality. The sound is great, loud and clear. Another plus is the minimal amount of buttons, which allows you to control it without having to use the app. The compactness and the lightness of the speaker paired with the long battery life, makes it perfect for taking it in any indoor/outdoor adventures. The only thing missing, which would greatly enhace the portability of the speaker would be to include a carrying case to avoid any damage. The case would also serve as a storing case preventing any dust from getting into the speaker for long periods of not being used. The black color makes it look sleek and elegant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Size & Flexibility Bose fails to disappoint once again. I was in the market for a portable speaker that could easily fit my bag that I bring with me everywhere. At the same time, I was not willing to sacrifice sound quality. The 12 hour battery life is more than plenty for any of my needs. I am very impressed with the powerful bass in a speaker that only weighs a little over 1 lbs, along with the fact the sound does not get distorted at louder volumes. This speaker is a great option to all no matter what your music preference is with the ability to customize the EQ using the Bose App. I also love my Bose Soundlink Max but this SoundLink Flex pairs with it perfectly. I mean this quite literally with the ability to pair both speakers together in Party mode! For its size, this speaker is the best in the market and look forward to bringing it with be everywhere in my travels. Credit to Bose once again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light but Powerful This portable speaker is a great all around! It’s small and lightweight, making it easy to take anywhere without compromising sound. I love that it's waterproof, so I can enjoy my favorite podcasts or music in the shower without worry. The battery life is impressive, I've had it for a couple weeks and haven't had to charge it since the initial charge. It's also rugged enough for outdoor adventures so I feel confident that I can take it anywhere without worrying about damaging it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Party Mode Activated! Named this speaker "Tiny Giant" because as small/portable it is, you'll still be able to bring the tunes wherever life takes you. Recently, brought the speaker with me on a trip. Fit nicely in my backpack with minimal weight added, not enough to feel I'm lugging around a heavy device. To me being able to listen to music as I get ready for the day or wind down is crucial, so big, big plus that this is a tiny but mighty lil speaker. I expect nothing less than a crisp yet smooth sound and this speaker delivers. When I'm at home that's when the real party begins, with the use of party mode between the SoundLink Flex and my Bose SoundLink Max. While doing chores and in/out of multiple spaces, situating one speaker in the kitchen and one in the living is quite the experience. It's feels luxurious even to be able to go about and not miss any music or my favorite podcasts. Impressed that there isn't a delay between the speakers too. Can't rave about this system enough and the speakers themselves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maximum portability and sound I love love love this speaker. Bose makes great quality products so I wasn't surprised by this speakers' range. I travel a lot for work and was always missing a portable speaker. Not only can you fit it in your luggage but it can also fit in your purse/backpack. The sound is incredibly for a small speaker and it is 100% user friendly. So easy to connect and control. I only wish it came with a traveling case so it won't get scratched or damage in transit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small But Mighty My speakers arrived just before my trip overseas, and I was able to use it extensively throughout my trip. It is the perfect size for taking around without taking up too much space. I can’t say enough about the battery life. I was able to start and end my day with continuous music without having to charge it, which was convenient and a plus. For such a small device it holds its own with the sound quality. The thing that I disliked about small speakers were the fact that it couldn’t handle high volumes, and the sound would get very distorted and muffled. With these speakers, whether I was listening inside in my hotel room, or sitting out by the hot tub, I was able to get great acoustics and bass regardless of what genre I was listening to. The app made it incredibly easy to adjust the settings to what I was listening to. Not to mention it has a very impressive Bluetooth range. Left my phone away from the speakers multiple times and not once did I have to deal with my music cutting out. This was a lifesaver for my trip. With such a small form factor I didn’t have to worry about it taking up too much space. With the sound quality and durability these speakers provide without breaking the bank, I can’t recommend these enough. Might have to grab another one in the future so that I can link them to take advantage of the stereo sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big sound, small & light package An excellent portable speaker that packs way more sound than you'd expect for its size. This isn't the smallest or lightest Bluetooth speaker out there, but it is small and light enough to truly be on-the-go friendly. I enjoy photography, so I'm already lugging around gear and don't want a big, heavy speaker to add to the mix. It doesn't add much to your backpack or luggage, so you'll be more tempted to bring it with you than, say, the SoundLink Max, which I also have. While the Max is demonstrably better and more powerful, the sheer size and weight makes you think twice about bringing it anywhere. The occasion must call for it. This speaker is often a no-brainer to toss in your bag. Surprisingly, it does have speakerphone support, unlike the Max, which is nice to see. Thanks to no WiFi or "smarts", battery life is also very good. It does drain faster the higher you crank the volume, so if you plan to blast it for hours on end you'll likely want a USB-C battery with you. But more likely than not, it'll cover your entire event, no problem. I used it often while on a trip for a week - mostly at lower volumes - and never actually needed to charge it. It feels well built and substantial, despite being light enough to carry with you. Overall, really exceptional audio quality. You'll be amazed at the bass it pumps out - especially if you increase it via the EQ in the Bose app. Unfortunately, there is no AUX port, nor can you do audio via USB-C. Perhaps that can be enabled via a software update, but I wouldn't count on that, so you are limited to Bluetooth connectivity. There are certainly cheaper options out there for something like this, but you'll be hard pressed to find something with this level of audio quality and portability, so the price seems justified. If you primarily care about audio quality - and don't care about price or size or weight - the Max is the way to go. But if you want any real semblance of portability, you won't be disappointed by this. I don't have the Micro to compare against it, but this is only slightly more and seems like the right call.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Speaker in a Small Package I've had this for about a month and am loving it! It is a fantastic size for carrying around with you, while feeling sturdy enough that I'm not worried about it getting destroyed on a hike or if stored in my truck with other gear. The sound is incredible for the price and size of the speaker. In comparison to the SoundLink Max, the bass at first felt a bit lacking. However, when compared to other speakers in the same class, it's top notch. I couldn't recommend this enough

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little speaker with a bang. Small speaker with the perfect sound. It’s nice, light and portable. You can take it to a picnic or just play around to the house with it not be overly loud. The sound is really amazing. I look at it as a mini version of the max.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and User-Friendly The Bose SoundLink Flex, true to brand, has amazingly powerful sound for its small size and is packed with thoughtful features.  This model is built for adventuring, particularly with friends.  Don't let the size fool you; this is a party speaker.  It can even connect with other portable Bose speakers in cases where you want more coverage. The battery life is enough to keep your musical motivation going through a full day of travel.  I was not able to charge my phone from the Flex as with its larger cousin the SoundLink Max, so don't expect it to double as a power bank if that is a priority for you.  In terms of size, this is a Goldilocks speaker.  It won't fit in your pants pocket (though you can carry it in the kangaroo pocket of a hoodie), and I wouldn't take it on ultra lightweight backpacking trips where every ounce counts, but it's just the right size to hang off of a pack and take camping or boating.  It's also perfect for beach or pool parties where you want a solid sound system that can stand getting wet. As someone who does a lot of outdoor adventure travel, this is the long-wearing speaker I've always wanted.  While the price point makes it an investment that I would normally think twice about risking on rough trips, the Flex is durable enough to withstand rain or hard bumps, and the sound quality is worth the cost.  The built-in webbing loop makes it easy to hang from a hook or carabiner, and I feel confident hanging it from a backpack without having to fret about it bumping around.  The loop itself isn't replaceable but seems durable enough to last.  The silicon coating can pick up dust, but it's extremely easy to clean due to the water resistance; just give it a rinse.  It even floats so can survive an accidental plunge with no rescue diving required! There is almost no learning curve but plenty of options for customization through the app.  It's extremely easy to connect to devices or other speakers via Bluetooth, adjust the EQ, and set a shortcut.  There aren't many buttons to learn, but you can make it yours within about five minutes of opening the box.  I'm the kind of person who listens to music a lot, because it makes everything- even homework or housework- feel more epic.  The Flex works for that just as well as for true, outdoor adventures.  So, if you want your next excursion with friends to have an epic soundtrack, this speaker is a solid choice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mighty Flex Speaker Considering how small this speaker is, it truly does pack a big punch. Being able to comfortably bring a speaker with me on outings, especially one that can be clipped onto a backpack is game changer. The speaker quality is very clear, and handles deep bass sounds very well. You can easily adjust the EQ to your liking on the app which I found very pleasing. The sound progression is very clean, it doesn't jump too high as you increase audio either. My only issue with the speaker as of now is the connection for bluetooth can be a bit spotty, which can be fixed with an update to the speaker. Overall, this is a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Sidekick The Soundlink Flex2 has become my little sidekick. Im all about quality sound & love to have something always playing as I go about my day. From music/podcasts to videos/tv - The Flex2 is PERFECT for anything. Not only is in insanely portable. It emits the kind of sound quality that’ll make you think you’re listening to a stereo system. Like seriously, how did they fit all of that power into such a little rectangle? Lol On the other hand tho- with the ability to adjust the EQ settings, if you want to be quiet about your listening. YOU CAN DO THAT TOO!! Just adjust those settings to lower & you’re good to go - personal concert at your fingertips. Hahaha. For real though, I listen to music all the time while my family sleeps & I’ve never heard one complaint. The sound versatility is out of this world! & while it is an overall fantastic device, I will say that it does seem to tip over backwards if not set down properly. Just something to note. Overall, I give the Flex2 is a 10/10, 5 stars, 99% (docking 1% for the minor stabilization issue cuz it’s not a deterrent by any means) & a solid TWO thumbs up! It’s a solid speaker choice for anyone wanting access to great quality sounds without breaking the bank or your wrist (hahaha)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge sound for a small speaker I have a different "portable" speaker from another competitor and it's not even close. The one i previously used was so much bigger and heavier, this little speaker really packs a lot into it and is so light! The sound quality is definitely Bose quality theres a richness and fullness in it. I was concerned about 360 sound but even behind the speaker it was loud with good quality. The only thing I would add is a slip case for when I throw it in a backpack, it'd be nice for it to be protected and have the charger with it. I do love the chrome/metal finish to it, but I can see that getting scratched as I bring it around.
