Invaluable.
Finally got one that worked!!! I had terrible luck with the 1st 4 (which I did not get directly from Bose, my bad) that I ordered where Channel 2 would have ghost static and interference without an instrument plugged in. Using the Bose proprietary cable directly into my L1Pro keep the chordage to a minimum. Better yet, I use a Hercules mic attachment to my mic stand to keep all controls within my reach.

AMAZING MIXER!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a solo performer and it is amazing, well worth the price and very easy to use. I now use it with my music AND I host large karaoke shows with it.

Small but big sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m happy with the unit. I’ve only had it about a week but it has some nice features and I’m still learning how to use it. This unit makes my Bose L1M2 sound even better and it feels like it’s a quality mixer. It’s really easy to see the display at night.

Obvious Pre-Amp and Effect Upgrades.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is an absolute monster for a little mixer. Running it on the L1 Model 2 with great ease. Sounds good to me.

Tone Match cabinet simulation for ampless guitar
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My problem as a guitarist is how to carry less gear (no amp) and produce a sound that will still have that super clean sonic characteristic similar to my mesa, replate, or two-rock, amps. I use a TC Electronic Nova System for all my pedal needs (it is a monster plus Pete Thorn uses it). The Nova can go directly into the ToneMatch as long as I dial in a ToneMatch sound simulation built into the tonematch. (there are some great varieties to color the sonic possibilities (such as: Miked Amp w SM-57)). The tone was gig-worthy but a bit sterile. (no tubes in the chain) The final component, an Effectrode Blackbird pre-amp pedal with a 600 ohm direct out (dead silent). The Blackbird provided the missing piece. With a 3 tube preamp design in a medium-small pedal, it's provides an astounding tube warmth. Guitar-Nova System-Effectrode Blackbird-Bose ToneMatch-L1 Model II with B2. Plus much easier to pack to gigs. My band switched from a pro-grade JBL SRX PA with QSC amps to two (2) L1 Model 2 with B2 bass sub units.

Best of the Best
As the CEO of the Boomerang Loop pedal company, I have very high standards for sound quality. The ToneMatch is unparalleled. No other mixer comes close to what the ToneMatch offers in size, ease of use and most importantly sound quality. BEST pre-amps I've ever heard. It's far more than just a mixer.

I've had mine about 2 weeks. I've used it on 4 gigs and I'm happy overall. I don't like the fact channel 4/5 was replaced with 5/6 auxiliary ins. Added some challenges to the way I use the mixer. Other that that I'm very satisfied

Great could have been the ultimate...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great piece of kit that could have wiped the floor with everything else - but fundamental user needs have been forgotten in the pursuit of sonic excellence - without the ergonomics.
Channels 5/6 are the audio inputs - and there is no volume control knob - volume is controlled by selecting the master selector knob and choosing Pan/Aux>selecting main>selecting 5/6 and then rotating a knob for each individual channel - not an overall option - but this is multi levels down in the menu.
Working live on stage that is unsustainable. The excuse given is that most instruments or sound sources will have a volume control on them. That may be the case but THIS is the mixer - not the audio device.
No option to select different reverb for each channel - it's still global - small, medium, large etc and then a varying degree for each channel.
The lid cannot be used as an on-gig cover - only in transit.
Currently the input level settings on channels 5/6 are extremely high compared to the T1.
Input sensitivity on the mic channels is extremely high - had to reduce my mic output by 14db to be comfortable on the T4S - where it used to be plus 14db on the T1.
No nylon cover supplied with it - so put up with it getting gig scratched.
The new "photographic camera tripod" mounting option is frankly introducing clutter - it states in the manual "use a camera tripod and mount" - which will add another tripod on the stage. I'm still searching for a threaded mount option to put a bracket on my existing mic stand. Why couldn't they have put both? The hole for existing Bose mic stand brackets and the new thread for photographically inclined musicians?
The new addition of a headphone socket - I'll never ever use.
Please - in some firmware update - route volume control for 5/6 through pot 4 as an option. Yeah I know it can't but.....
I will be using the T4S with two L1 MKll and 2 B2's and as I don't use 4 mics I'll run with two extra leads; 1. Stereo mini jack to a single XLR - pin 1 hot taking left and right which I'll plug into channel 4 and use as a music control pot.
If running stereo I'll go stereo mini jack to two XLR's and use 3 and 4 for the same.
Any sudden outbursts I can mute both channels.
As usual - sonically - beautiful together with a Shure Beta 87A and QLXD pack - using the presets.
Love it - but not enough to sell my T1 - which is sooo much easier to configure and will remain my workhorse. The T4S will be the weapon of choice when running twin L1 stacks tho.
