Perfect Replacement
I replaced the previous version this microwave after 11 years. The control panel is slightly different but functions nearly identical to the old one. This is a perfect replacement and would highly recommend to others.

I purchased this micro because had a exacly the same model, which last 7 yesrs with excelente performance. Expecting now the same. For now noticed improvements on door handle, but ventilaror kept moving after stop which is annoying

Perfect Replacement

Very nice microwave
This 1000W oven is much better than my old 1200W one. The first thing I did however was change the bulb in the light that shines down onto the stove. Even though there is only one bulb it got so hot that my wife thought that I had just used the microwave. I replaced it with a dimmable LED and the problem was solved and it puts out a brighter light.

Great features, Easy to Use, and All Around Great
I love my over the range microwave. I have used this product for a little less than 5 years. I recently had to replace it due to my husband installing this incorrectly but purchased the same one because it like the way it works. Easy to use, easy to clean, and does the job I need, plus it is not sitting on my counter taking up space or interfering with my counter space usage.

Excellent for the price!
Purchased this over the range microwave oven to replace the one installed in our home when it was built 12 years ago. Went with GE because wanted to make installation easier and it was a snap same bracket holes lined up everything was good. Very reasonably priced and seems to have as much power. Very happy with my purchase.

There is a very loud, annoying noise that comes out of the microwave each time you use it. It just started happening about a week ago and it is not even a month old yet that I have it and it didn't happen before. Anyone know why this is happening?

Wondering if the mounting bracket I have now for my GE Spacemaker jvm1650sh will be the same as this model? Doesn’t sound like it will from comments
I replaced an older GE Microwave with this GE model and the bracket footprint had indeed changed and needed replacing but it wasnt a big problem! More importantly the change meant that different holes had to be drilled in the overhead cabinet.and I would recommend that if an installer is doing the job to take care that holes are drilled BEFORE the microwave is put on its bracket or a ton of wood shavings will end up inside the interstices of the microwave as I discovered when needing service.

I must replace GE model JVM 1540SPSS. Does new one use same brackets for installation?
Bracket is very similar but mounting holes are off by a little bit I was very annoyed by this change and had to improvise exact replacement microwave and they had to change mounting holes was not happy by this

does this have a full bracket on the back or a top or bottom bracket? Just had a new micro delivered to find out i can't use a bottom bracket.
The microwave comes with a "I_I" type mounting bracket. it goes through the bottom and two sides (back of the microwave facing the wall) of the microwave.
