Truly a Flagship for the Denon AVR Lineup
I purchased the AVR-A1H in August of 2023 as part of a home theater project, and I was pleasantly surprised that it has made audio the focus of the room.
At a basic level, this receiver allows a user to be up and running in minutes, with an intelligent setup guide that provides impressive results on its own, but also allows for more in depth configuration via Dirac Live, or manual adjustment.
Where I would normally be tweaking speaker placement for hours, I was good to go after about an hour with a 9.4.4 setup where I could close my eyes and locate the "source" of a sound in 3D space easily.
By default, I did feel that the system wanted the subwoofer levels a bit quieter than I prefer, but that was the most I had to play with.
In terms of inputs, my only regret is the lack of component video inputs...but this is a receiver for today, not one from 20 years ago, so it makes sense.
I haven't had any issues with video sources over HDMI, and the picture quality and image latency are both amazing.
One thing to note is that this receiver is heavy, so take care where you place it. Also, as can be expected from a unit pumping so many watts, it can get a bit toasty, so keeping it in a well-ventilated area is a must.
Suffice to say, I love it.
It's a premium product...with a price to match, but there is nothing that comes close.

Great Sounding Receiver
I've enjoyed this receiver for almost a year since submitting this review. It's configured for a 7.2.4 configuration with front speakers bi-amped and two Zone 2 speakers for stereo out on the deck. This setup utilizes all fifteen amplifiers. Bi-amping the two, front speakers allows for plenty of power overhead while critical listening to stereo sources. Movies encoded with Dolby really come alive. As an upgrade to my Marantz SR-7012, I'm extremely happy I chose this AV Receiver. It's versatile and powerful, but most importantly, it sounds great!

at least a good hardware,BUT lost money
The reciver itself is very very good, but you will need the heos app,and this is the bad part.
The app is realy crap,to overloaded with useless Pictures.not easy to find the importand settings, only 300 titles in playlists, that start every time from beginning if you use app.not all audo-files are supported.Never Denon again !!!
