Works Great
Traded up from a V10. Significant difference in pick up power, nice feature with the built in crevice tool and brush. Honestly thought the Detect feature was going to be a nothing but it really is a great feature. Battery lasts much longer and it’s quieter than the V10

Meets my Expectations
Have owned this product for two weeks. So far, it has met all my expectations. Great suction, very easy to click attachments on and carefully designed for efficiency. Would highly recommend even tough it is pricey.

I love my GEN5 detect absolute
I own a Sanitare sweeper and i ran it before running my GEN5 detect absolute. Then I ran my GEN5.and I could not believe the amount of dirt I picked up and that was a with a fresh bag in my Sanitare. I will never go back. I’m a Dyson customer for life. Thank you, Dyson!

Best Vacuum ever!!!!
Best investment ever! Very powerful and for those of us with horrible allergies, this is the best vacuum as it catches all of the fine particles. Also, the green light shows you how dirty your floor actually is which was sobering.

I purchased about 2 months ago. I vacuum everyday as I have a greater Swiss mountain dog and Lakeland terrier. The Swiss mountain dog sheds a lot and the Dyson does an incredible job of cleanup.
I also like the convenience of the cradle and the charging station. It is so easy to remove and vacuum.
It is very lite weight which is greatly appreciated.

Great vacuum!
I had the old DC14 for over 15 years and absolutely loved it but it was pretty wore out. I have a mixture of vinyl floors and carpet so I needed something that would work for both. This has been perfect! I thought my old Dyson had great suction still but this new one puts it to shame. I have a love hate relationship with the cordless part. I love not having to deal with a cord but it does stink that I cannot get my whole house done on one battery charge. I would still buy cordless, I will probably just buy a second battery. The bin size is definitely smaller than my old one but I just got into the habit of emptying it after every use. I went back and forth between this one and the outsize. I will say if you have larger open rooms, than the outsize might be better as the brush head on this one is even smaller than my old one but it's not enough to be a problem for me.

How does Dyson keep getting better?!!!
I took my out of warranty Dyson in to replace the battery and bought the Gen5detect while I was there. I was blown away by its performance. I have hardwood floors with area rugs and have a Golden Retriever and my adult kids have 3 dogs between them that often come to visit. I used the new vacuum the day after my house was cleaned and picked up a full canister of hair. With the light, I could literally see every hair and dust particle on the floor. It picked up hair embedded into the carpets. The stair attachment was amazing as well.

The absolute best!
Can’t say enough good things about this vacuum. This has made my life immeasurably easier and my apt so easy to keep spotless. This replaced a 17 year old corded dyson animal that still worked, but boy, was this worth the upgrade! I can keep my entire apt clean in 10 minutes (it’s a small vacation condo). Switching between upholstery attachment and floor/carpet attachment is simple and fast. A big plus for me is the motor bar that automatically adjusts to bare floor and area rug. The on/off switch (instead of trigger that has to be held down) is also a deal breaker for me. I have a V12 detect slim as a backup in my primary home, and it is great for what it is, but this Gen5 detect is unbeatable.

Engineered to Perfection! Best Vacuum Imaginable!
Dyson Gen5 outsize is everything that it's claimed to be. The power rivals my corded Dyson canister and the bin is large enough that I can get all of my Sheltie's wispy hair droppings vacuumed up without ever having to empty the bin. My prior vac required three empties plus it repeatedly clogged from the hair. The Dyson never clogs. Battery power is great and requires no change in my 2,200 square foot home. The Fluffy Optic cleaner head for floors is amazing as the green light reveals tiny specs of dog dander not visible to the naked eye, and it picks everything up even larger pieces of dog kibble. Best vacuum I've ever owned. Even the cardboard packing is engineered, so each piece folds flat to be easily discarded. Amazing how everything was engineered to perfection. Highly recommend.

Strong and Easy to Use
I absolutely love this vacuum. I can’t say enough about it. I use this multiple times each day. I have three indoor cats and this vacuum makes cleaning up hair and cat litter a breeze. The lazier light lets me see all the hair and dirt on the floors. I also use the other head on my rugs. Every cat or dog owner needs one. Thank you Dyson.

Works great and I've been using it almost everyday. Can't believe how clean my apartment is now that I bought this. Can't wait to show off my place to some visitors. I bet they'll say it's like being in another world. Can't suggest this for purchase hard enough.

Like all Dyson products it doesn’t disappoint. I’ve had several different Dyson Vacuum Cleaners from the corded to the small stick and now the Gen5 Outsize. Pretty much like the order only without the cord. Accessories are full size so you don’t give up anything. Absolutely sold on it. So far so good.

Best vacuum I have ever owned.
I absolutely love this Dyson Gen5detect. I have hardwood floors and was horrified at what the light shows. Also the attachment for carpet worked so well that my dining room smelled better after I gave the room size rug a through cleaning. It is so easy to use and swap between the tools. I can't say I love cleaning house but this machine makes it so much easier.

Everything you would expect from Dyson +
The Gen5 Detect Dyson is everything that you could expect from Dyson plus some. The vacuum, suction power, and motor brush head, perform wonderfully on my carpets. The ability to see exactly what the vacuum is picking up is an added bonus that allows you to see the areas that require additional attention. Very happy with this purchase.
