We bought our second Fisher-Paykel fridge from PC Richard. (The first we purchased before we moved across the country.) It helped us sell our house at a premium. F-P is beautifully designed, efficient, and quiet.

The best fridge I have ever owned
I absolutely love my new fridge. It is very sleek and beautiful and easy to keep smudge-free. I also love the size. The freezer at the bottom with the pull-out drawers helps keep everything organized and within reach (No more items lost at the bottom). The cabinet-depth added to the square footage in my kitchen. It is perfect for me and, at a glance, I can quickly see what I have and I don’t have. This keeps me from buying unnecessarily and/or throwing away spoiled food. Everything lasts longer in the vegetable section of the crisper. I don’t think I have the right setting for the fruit section. It would be nice to actually have a temperature reading instead of dots. So far the factory settings seem to work well for both fridge and freezer. I have also noticed that it is very energy-efficient as compared to my old fridge. I wonder if the bottom part in the back supposed to be open.

Great freezer
My new refrigerator is great especially the freezer part. I have showed it to several people and they agree with me especially on the freezer part. Showed it to my niece who also showed it to her husband. They were very impressed with it.

I am disappointed that this refrigerator does not have a light in the freezer and that the doors do not close on their own. I was unaware of this when I purchased it. I also wish it had a drawer for deli meats. This is not a cheap appliance. You would think it would have the basic features. I love the counter depth feature and the smudge free stainless steel is so easy to clean.

Fisher Paykel 17.6 cu ft bottom freezer fridge
This fridge was exactly the right size and shape for our small, newly renovated kitchen so. we just had to get it. It's very well arranged inside, including the freezer, and easy to use. The one and only complaint so far - it's a little bit noisy. I think that might be the fan that they mention in the manual (it's not a regular compressor-type noise). But otherwise, this is exactly what the doctor ordered for our specific kitchen size and layout, and we are highly satisfied.
