Available in several built-in refrigerator models, Fisher & Paykel's ActiveSmart system uses an advanced microprocessor to coordinate the activity of several variable-speed fans, a network of air ducts, and multiple temperature sensors inside of the fridge and freezer. As the sensors feed usage data to the microprocessor, ActiveSmart regulates the compressor and the fans to stabilize the temperatures inside of the refrigerator's numerous storage cavities. Now available with ActiveSmart technology to optimize storage conditions for produce and meat, Fisher & Paykel fridges feature humidity-controlled crisper drawers, an adaptive defrost system in the freezer, and much more. Complementing the ActiveSmart temperature management system is the SmartTouch control panel located on the inside of select Fisher & Paykel refrigerators. The "Compartment" button at the top of the panel lets you choose which storage zone to manage the temperature for, and the dashboard's simple "+" and "-" buttons let you make that zone warmer or cooler on demand. Select freezers also contain features like a Fast Freeze Mode, a door alarm, and an Ice Boost Mode.
