Happiness with Friedrich Products
Can not provide a review at this time as unit was installed after the last heat wave. I will say however that the unit is to complicated for me. I am old school and low tech. All I want is an on/off switch and a dial to control the temperature. I am sure this unit will provide me with good service just like the unit it has replaced that was 20 years of age (also a Friedrich).

Friedrich Air Conditioner and Installation
So far, very pleased with product except would like it if it had an energy saver feature. My previous Friedrich a/c which I had for 20 years had that feature where it would turn off when it reached a certain temp. Exceptionally pleased with the installation of the unit (through the wall)

Vent switch is stuck.
The unit runs very quiet and does a very good job of cooling our house. I would give it 5 stars but the vent switch that operates venting and taking in outside air does not operate. It is locked in place. So I have to have that taken care of.

Works great but a little noisy
Cools very well, love the wifi to control on phone at home or away, excellent wall installation by PC Richard's. But with something called Quietmaster Technology it's not all that quiet especially on high fan.

Very noisy on the outside. Makes a crackle sound when it turns on. It is not 4 speed. Only 3 speed.

Doesn't cool very much
It's 9 months since we installed this and it just doesn't cool well.
Starts out cool and then goes onto fan, even though we have it set at 68.
It's about 80 in the room. Maybe it should be calibrated? But it's new.
PC Richard was terrible as well; they recommended all the wrong units AFTER we paid for their "professional" assessment. Finally we got the right units, but this one isn't good.

Don't buy anything Friedrich, they are garbage.
I'm so frustrated it's disgusting. The original 25k btu in-wall unit that we had lasted 50 years without a problem. When it died just before our first heat wave, I was thrilled to find the exact model replacement (updated to 2024 of course). Then it went downhill. Friedrich needs an entire overhaul of their quality control process. The first unit installed did not work at all. It took over a week during a heatwave, with a gentleman who has COPD and needs air conditioning to get a second unit installed. So they install the second unit, now we are into our third heatwave, and it dies within 2.5 weeks of installation; this time the claim is "it's just the plug." Well, here we are 100+ degrees, and no unit, no cord, and it takes at least 4-5 days to get it shipped to the installer, because "it's hot, they are working much slower and shipping slower." UNEXCUSABLE. This is a $3000 unit. I expect it to WORK! Garbage. I have nothing kind to say about Friedrich. Don't buy from them or PC Richard. Every time I've spoken to the manager the first thing he says is, "we just provide the Friedrich units." No, you sell them, then it is your attendant responsibility to make sure the products you carry/represent actually work! I don't get a break on paying for this, and there has been no offer of a reduction or reimbursement in cost for this inconvenience. Friedrich is garbage today. Maybe they weren't in the past, but this is unconscionable. Save yourself the time and effort and do not buy anything Friedrich.

I wouldn’t recommend this ac to anyone. I purchased this ac, thinking that I’m getting the best wall ac but no. They had to replace the ac 3 times for me in order to get one that work. And still the 3rd one is not that great

Expensive and quit just after 1 yr
This unit cooled quickly and quietly. Unfortunately it was super-expensive and quit just after 1 yr. This unit should have lasted at least 10yrs, skip this and get a mini-split for the same price and about half the energy usage.

no, doesn't work like that. this needs to be on a 240v circuit. your normal home outlets are 120v.
