This unit is much better than the Frigidaire that we bought years ago. Much quieter and cools the room very quickly when we turn it on. We keep the thermostat at 77degrees and the room is very comfortable. I am having a little trouble getting the wifi to work but I'll figure it out.

Follow EVERY LAST INSTRUCTION for installation!
We've had a couple of these units over the years but they never quite worked right despite professional installation. This one was our third, and once we properly installed it (by ourselves, following every last instruction), it FINALLY works as advertised.
It's not whisper quiet, but it is certainly more quiet than any other unit we've had. The app connects well, it cycles properly, and our animals are much happier!

WiFi connection review
This unit will not connect to a 5G network, only the old school 2.4G. Major headache setting up. Had to call my internet provider to create a 2.4G channel. Thankfully I had a dual band router otherwise I'dhave to return ot. Anyway an hour on the phone with them and an hoir with a Freidrich tech and I figured it out. Here is the real story connecting one of these units to your wifi. Once you have the 2.4G channel and the Freidrich app on your phone, first dosconnect your phone from the 5G channel and connect to the 2.4G channel. Then (and this is important), disable your 5G network as the air conditioner will not connect to the 2.4G channel if it sees an active 5G channel. Now once the 5G channel is disabled you should have no problems connecting the unit to your 2.4G channel in the app. Once you do, it will stay connected and you can remove your phone from the 2.4G and reconnect back to the faster 5G. Only now you'll have to sign back into a lot of your phone apps because of the 5G channel disconnect. Ugh...What a pain, but worth it as now I can turn on the air conditioner an hour before I get home to cool down my living room. I hope this review saves someone from the agony I went through setting it up.
Btw, the air conditioner works great. Not too loud and really cools fast. I alway use the money saver feature that works well with the built in thermostat. I also suggest getting the 5 year extended warranty. If your paying this much you want it to last without worry.

Get a cooler room but skip for the WIFI
This A/C provides great cooling, even in the money saver mode it cools the room quickly. But if you are getting this because of the WIFI, skip it. It is nothing but a challenge to set up and use.

Good so far. Noise level is good, and the money saver feature is nice. The unit cycles on and off as needed. I was able to connect it to wifi and use the app. The app could use a refresh.

It's just OK, noisy but it works.
Replaced an old unit with this; not really my choice but it was the only model that works in my apartment setting. Despite it is a new model compared to the 20+ years old model that it replaced, the unit is noisy. I will know how energy efficient it is when I receive the next utility bill as the heat wave has passed after I installed this unit.

VERY LOUD (close to 85 dcbs)
I have a 700 sq/ft living/dining room area that I needed to cool with this wall sleeve AC. On 2nd unit already, a week after purchase. Took a day and night to cool off my space. In energy saver mode, the unit just turns on fan to circulate air and not push more cold air. So it blows warm air out. It is extremely loud. Close to 85 decibels! That's heavy vehicle traffic noise level. Which can lead to possible hearing damage from long term exposure. I called back a second time 3 weeks later due to the noise level. Hopefully PCR will rectify issue or allow me to return it and get a refund.

World of problems
Too loud, impossible to get app to work, never reads the right temperature (so it's constantly running), and never cooled the air properly. My condo felt moist all the time. Service guy came out and said there was either a leak or it wasn't charged properly when manufactured. Swapped this for a Frigidaire 3 weeks after I bought this one. Ironically, a gentleman waiting behind me at the store was there to exchange the same model for the second time in two years. Stay away from this brand.

Friedrich and PC failed
The product failed within first year, i used it maybe five times, it was a few months over 1 yr warranty with PC and i received no help form PC. The warranty from Friedrich was not fully honored, they only gave me 3/4 of value I paid. extremely disappointed in PC and Friedrich
