Needs tandem outlet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Some reviews stated that the plug is European but that is not right. The plug is called a 30 amp Tandem and if your 220 volt outlet is not the 230 volt outlet then all you have to do is change the outlet and the cover. It’s pretty much a DYI if you have any electrical knowledge at all. You can change out the outlet in 15 minutes or leas. This outlet and cover plate is available at the big box stores and will run you less than 20 bucks. This AC unit will run on a 20 amp dedicated circuit. ie: my old breaker is a 220v 20 amp. Because the AC unit draws way below 20 amps all you have to do is replace the outlet with the Tandem configuration. Make sure you turn off the breaker before attempting to change out the outlet. If you don’t feel comfortable working with electricity then hire an electrician to change out the outlet. I installed my AC unit through the wall. Their dimensions are very accurate, just make sure the opening is square.

Unit is set to a temp a little less than required as it is being used to cool two levels of a split level house, roughly 1200 square feet. It is doing a very good job keeping the average temp at around 72 degrees. Very good AC

Frigidaire 28,000 BTU Window/Wall Air Conditioner
Purchased this air conditioner to replace a 36,000 BTU Friedrich air conditioner whose motor lasted about 3 years and had to be replaced at the cost of $750. Subsequently lasted another 10 years until the whole unit needed replacing this summer. We decided on this Frigidaire air conditioner and are so far very happy with it. Obviously, it's not as quiet as central air conditioning would be, but it is much quieter than the Friedrich (that may just be due to the fact that it's 28,000 BTUs as compared to the larger 36,000 BTUs) and it does just as good a job of cooling down our entire home (approximately 1200 square feet) compared to the larger Friedrich. Based on our experience thus far, we recommend this model if one is looking to buy an air conditioner powerful enough to cool down a large space without being super loud.

Frigidaire Makes Great Ait Conditioners
Replaced my 22 year old Frigidaire 28,000 BTU air conditioner because it was old and it began to experience some issues. This new unit was installed in a wall like the previous Frigidaire. Installation was easy and did not have to make any changes to the cutout. The air conditioner is quiet and working well. Hope it lasts as long as my previous one. I would highly recommend this air conditioner.

Quiet, Efficient, Cools Great!!!

Frigidaire - 28,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner with Slide Out Chassis
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great value unit. I replaced a older discontinued Freidrich unit with this one. The only complaint I have is the manufacture installed a 30 amp plug on the new A/C . The manufacture specs say 230 volt / 13 amp. I did not want to cut the plug off so I had to hire a electrician to change my recepticle plug in wall.

I've bought wall AC units before without measuring the space and it always worked out. Is this unit bigger then average size or should I actually measure? I'm afraid the depth will be too long. How do I measure that?
This unit is a little larger than my last unit. My last unit was a freidw And I had to make some adjustments so it would fit the sleeve. The way you measure the depth is to measure from the front of unit to the back of the unit
