My Review for 23.3 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a Kitchen Aid unit with the same design for many years but it had many things wrong with it: The ice maker stopped working in about a year, the crisper drawers were flimsy and finally, we needed to manually defrost the unit. We liked the design, especially the full width deli tray and counter depth but we had a devil of a time finding one which would fit our available width and height restrictions. This one, just fit. It came with an ice maker, which was a surprise and has much more durable crisper trays. In addition, though the unit is the same exterior size as the original Kitchen Aid, once we put all the food back in, there was more free space than before. One note: The old deli tray had a part which flipped up, giving a better view and access to the back of the tray. On one hand, that part broke-off after a few years, on the other hand, it was useful.

This refrigerator is wide open and absolutely filled with light so you can see everything, right at eye level, The French door design is brilliant and spacious while the freezer down below, although not cavernous, is adequate for all the frozen stuff, including the ice. We opted for a model without the ice and water dispenser in the door. We don’t miss them – we don’t miss the ice falling to the floor and the water dribbling down the front. it’s all clean on the front, and bright! No fingerprints either!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've only had the refrigerator for 9 days, but so far, we love it. Delivery was prompt. The only glitch is that the blue tape that they use to hold things in place can leave sticky remnants if not removed carefully. The refrigerator cooled rapidly, and runs very quietly. The ice maker started off somewhat slow (for the first 2-3 days) making ice. But now it makes ice much faster than we can use it. We are very pleased with this refrigerator and would recommend it.

Well constructed and great styling

The Frigidaire is essentially identical in physical size to the LG we had so it fits perfectly into the space. The exterior design of the Frigidaire is a close match to our existing appliances and looks like an integral part of the kitchen. The interior space for the refrigerator section is generous while the freezer section is average. The ice maker and water dispensing systems both work very well. The most important reason for this five-star rating is the cooling capacity for the unit and it is far superior to the unit it replaced.

The freezer seems plenty big and the ice maker works. I've never had an icemaker or water dispenser but so far so good. I don't use much ice so I'm glad it has an off switch if I decide to not use it.

AMAZING FRIDGE!

I have had it for over a year and love it. well, not like I feel need to wash shelves each week or anything like that. Its well lit, lights are bright inside. Very roomy compared to anything with one door. I wished I got this fridge type way sooner in my life. Not sure if this model was made back in 1994 when I bought first house. I would have loved to have it back then. It costs more money BUT IT IS WORTH IT!! if it broke down today and warranty was expired, I would order same model same day!
There is another variety of this fridge with middle external drawer for meat and stuff. Skip that and get this one where that same drawer is within top compartment. It keeps meat fresh for long time. I use it for defrosting meat a few days to few weeks before use.
Many other french door models have shelfs spanning entire fridge. This model has each side's helves can be moved or removed independently from other side. The shelves are think glass and can hold a lot. One side on mine has 4 1/2 gallon water jugs and two canisters of flour. One shelf is also a half shelf where half of the shelf flips back allowing shelf underneath to have something taller. VERY NICE FEATURE. Shelves in other brands seem flimsy and halving too much weight on shelf spanning width of fridge is asking for trouble.
Freezer compartment is nicely located under fridge. Having it above means having to bend over to get things daily. annoying. Freezer is spacious with lower with divider and drawer with divider. it can be set to zero which is optimum lever for freezing and it gets to that level, see image. Have never seen any bit of frost buildup which does happen on chest freezer.
Cons
* Wished I got deeper model as can't fit pizza box inside.
* The fridge temp only goes down to 39 degrees. For first few months, many months, the compartment would only go down to 41 degrees. Now the top shelf is at 39 (see image) and eggs have froze in shelf on middle shelf. Nothing else freezes. I hard boil them anyways so not an issue.
* got some extra door shelf divider/side things and can't figure out what they are for.
* Chrome/polished was not a finish available. Had to settle for grey.
* Big thing is this compressor is running all the time, 24/7, constantly humming away. At low tone but other fridges cycle on and off. Not used to that but it is what it is. The amazingness of this fridge encompasses anything disliked.

I am moving my refrigerator to a new spot and I’m still in the process of the work. It hasn’t been used too long but so far so good. Space wise there is a good amount of shelf storage both in and on doors. You have 2 large crisper drawers and a pull out deli drawer. You have to open both doors to open this drawer. The ice is a good small square size and you just open the freezer and there is a container easy to access. The water spout is in the fridge door to left. You have to open the door but the water is easy to use and my big cups can easily get filled. Good quality Frigidaire with out all the bells and whistles. Hoping it will last a long time.

In the pictures posted, none show where the ice maker is or what type it is. Is it the type that makes a bin full of ice, or just fills a glass at a time?
There is a bin in the freezer drawer for ice. There is no place to fill a glass at a time.

I’ve had my refrigerator for almost 3 months and I love it. A couple of weeks ago I got up one morning and there was a lot of light frost (like snow) in the freezer on one side. I cleaned it off and later noticed that the temps were all out of whack.
Same thing happened to me. I had ALOT because I was out of town for 2 weeks. I cleaned it off and since then I have had no problems with this challenge. The temp stayed on point.
