The perfect fit!
We had this installed in our house so that all of our needs would be able to be met on the 1st floor. The stackable combination allowed minimal renovations to an existing, spare bedroom closet. It is quiet, washes well and dries well. Being a member of the "old school", the only complaint I have is that about the way water is added, and it is a two-fold complaint, and a minor one at that. First, I do not like that I am unable to have the water added to an empty washer, allowing me to add liquid detergent to mix with the running water BEFORE adding the clothes. Secondly, I do not like that I do not get to choose the amount of water per load. The "water adding sensor" feature determines the amount of water per load. I'd rather that I got to determine how much water my load of laundry requires. It is a minor inconvenience for what is other wise, so far, an excellent machine that performs yeoman's service to meet our needs.

I LOVE THIS LITTLE WASHER DRYER COMBO! UNFOTUNATELY THE FIRST SET I HAD ONLY LASTED 5 1/2 YEARS BEFORE THE FINAL SPIN CYCLE BROKE AND COULDN'T BE FIXED.

Great Stack washer/Dryer
This GE product was the absolute perfect fit in my small apartment. The drum size was actually the correct size as well. It runs quiet during the spin cycle and the lint filter Is an is a very efficient design. I have not had any problems. I’ve only had it approximately one month at this point, but I am glad that I made this selection for a washer dryer stacked unit for my apartment.

Does the dryer have ventilation options for back or side?
The dryer is set up by factory to vent out the rear but it has a option to vent to the right or left but you have to cut the sheet metal to put the vent pipe side ways. I had to purchase some universal duct work and duct clamps to make it work.
