Right size for me!
I bought this washing machine as the match for the dryer. The capacity is adequate for sheets & towels, & and also handle several pairs of jeans and other clothing. I wanted a stainless steel basket, which it has, as well as cycles for delicate and heavily soiled garments. The cycles are easy to set & I like the feature where the machine pretty much decides on the water level based upon the weight of the load. The machine is relatively quiet, although my last one was 20 yrs old and getting really loud during the spin cycles. The final spins works really well, taking out most of the water. I went with this size GE because of their reputation and the research I did on what capacity I would need. I’ve only had it for a month, but so far no complaints.

I have had the washer for two weeks. I have washed several loads of laundry and am very impressed with the way it cleans my clothes. I saw reviews that said this washer is loud…not the case with this washer it is actually quiet.

Simple is Better
Love my new GE Washer. I owned an LG for 11 years and it finally started making very weird grinding noises, so I immediately started researching new machines. My goal was to go back to simplicity. Did anybody actually ask for manufacturers to remove agitators? Did anybody ask for HE machines? Who said they wanted digital readouts and electronic balancing machines? Do we really need to be able to control our washing machines from our cell phones? Automatic water fill detection?
If you want clean clothes and only functions that are necessary in order to get your clothes clean, buy this good old fashioned style washing machine! Our clothes are clearner than they have been in 11 years.

I have all GE appliances and super happy with all of them. I just got this washer after having a different brand that failed. This GE is quiet, easy to use, has an agitator and gets the clothes really clean! Can't say enough good things about this washer and the GE brand! Definitely recommend!

Great washer! I had a Maytag washer with a touchscreen and lots of options. It was NOT easy to operate and the touchscreen went out. I bought this GE Washer and it was wonderful. No crazy tech to figure out. Just turn the dials and push start for an easy and complete wash!

So far, so good. I ran a Quick Wash after delivery but before product registration, to ensure it was OK, as 10% of all washers on hardware store websites get a 1 Star rating. I had a Samsung washer for 8 years (after my initial Samsung machine was recalled and a misunderstanding caused me to loose any credit for the returned machine). Eight years meant about 400 washes before its electric motor died. My previous machine lasted 25 years.
