Our only issue was the speaker quit working and the push buttons were getting harder to operate. Everything was covered under the warranty. The other reason we get the same style is that the mounting bracket is the same as well as the vent and power cord. my son in law and I had it changed in 20 minutes. The features and size are exactly what we need..

The capacity and wattage is smaller than our old one, but it is still large enough for everything we use it for. The display is nice and bright for kitchen use, the buttons are easy to read, and the end of coking cycle is not annoying. The ventilation is directed upward during the cooking cycle and is very efficient Installation was accomplished in about 45 minutes.

I also find the controls easy as I use it more often now, The installation was performed by a handy man who had installed a number of these type ovens. The ventilation came on automatically recently when we had 3 large pots of boiling water. The wattage was no problem , but we have that breaker for 4 outlets that are not used for power or heat appliances. i bought it for 2 reasons. First I wanted a while microwave to match the kitchen appliances and secondly, the extra year of coverage was unique and appreciated.

is there a light and vent?

Yes, it does have both, but don't buy it's stop working for me in 16 months. This microwave is not well built.

It's only 18 months old. My microwave stop working. As soon as I press start, my circuit breaker flips. A service guy came to check, he said switch has a problem and to repair it will cost $230. GE should fix it without out of pocket cost or just replace.

Does this model have an outside vent option

No it is ductless it does not have a vent to be vented outside. But it does have a fan that circulates the air that you can turn on Manually.  Also when micro reaches a certain temperature it automatically turns on to cool it down

I just bought a new microwave, GE  JVM3160DFCC.  Will it fit on my old GE JVM1650CB006 brackets?
