It fits much better in the space and is still very spacious inside compared to a 36” wide model. I went with the model with ice and water inside instead of on the outside after 2 previous refrigerators, that were not GE, lasted less than 4 years before there were problems with the sensors on the ice maker. Also GE has the best reputation in my opinion.

New Fridge is making ice with some black residue on it. Have already dumped the first 3 buckets of ice, but it is still making this dirty (?) Ice.

You didn’t really ask a question, but what you’re describing is not normal or acceptable.  I’m not having any issues with the new fridge or the ice maker.  Sounds like you need a service call.
