I recently purchased the GE French Door Refrigerator, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! This review is after the first week of having the new fridge. We upgraded to this from a 12 year old standard style (top freezer) 18cu ft unit. The differences were quite noticeable! The space inside especially for the bottom freezer. Having the sliding portion at the top keeps everything easily accessible. I love the the French doors can be opened or closed from either side (I've seen some models where you have to open one side first in order to open both sides). I saw some complaining about the lack of layout options for the shelving in the fridge portion but (maybe because I'm coming from a smaller fridge) I found a lot of versatility with the layouts. I love that the top right shelf can easily slide back and become half the depth. Super quiet, super clean look, and ample lighting make this an upgrade I have no regrets about.

Clear and bright. Functionality is perfect. My wife did not want the ice maker since this fridge is in the garage: by not having the ice container, the space is better used for additional freezer items. I'm impressed in that the energy consumption is very low. Overall, this is the best freezer/fridge combo we looked at and it's perfectly suited to our need.

Nice size.
We've only had it 2 days so it's hard to tell how it will do. But it's seems ok so far. Doors removed easily and there's a lot of room in it. The GE we had before was a good refrigerator that's why we bought another GE.

Love the fridge! Lots of space, and all the adjustable shelves are great for making space whenever we need it. Also like how the water spout is built into the side of the fridge so it doesn’t take up space and I don’t have to worry about my kids getting water everywhere like I would with a spout on the outside of the fridge.

How long did it take to get the refrigerator? I ordered the color slate and I know it is.custom but am I going to be waiting 4 months for it?
I am so sorry to hear that. I worked directly with someone at the store so I only had to wait a week. I would definitely ask for an update. I am guessing they had one in stock when I ordered
