We went from a counter depth side by side to a full size because the we always ran out of space during the holidays. Finger resistant surface is amazing over our other refrigerator. We got ice in about 8 hours. Seems pretty quiet and cools to specifications. Controls are EZ to adjust and the lighting is wonderful. As far as taking the plastic wrap of I used an exact knife and it worked very well. I like the way the doors close and forces you to shut the door properly. My wife always had a hard time with my other unit she would think it was closed and it wasn’t closed all the way. My last one died after12 years, hopefully this will do the same. We looked at LG, CAFE, Kitchen Aid and I believe we made the right decisionAs ad

At this point my review is limited to complaining about the lack of an owner's manual in print delivered with the product. I downloaded the pdf version but that fails to answer many questions. Does GE really save many pennies by only providing an online version. My main complaint with it is all the asterisks. Do I have the model with the asterisks applicable or not? I guess over time I'll figure that out, but GE could make it clearer from the start.

We love that it is really quiet and plenty of shelves. The water and ice maker in the door have a nice tall opening so we can fill our water bottles too. Clean lines nice design all the controls being on the outside of the door is just one of many nice features.

Fridge cools super quickly holds temperature excellent. Freezer section got down to desired temp very quickly holds temperature water system and ice system work great. Only flaw I have notice is under the water dispenser the area is flat and doesn’t have any area for water if it does happen to drip but definitely not a major issue.
