Good replacement
Have only had it for a week but it’s working just fine. It’s an 8300BTU replacement for an old Kenmore 6,000BTU unit that didn’t have a very sensitive thermostat and I needed to constantly get up and adjust the dial. This has a remote control that allows adjusting from my chair that is most convenient. I purchased it from a local appliance dealer and since it was slightly larger by a couple of inches I paid for installation and a new sleeve. Installer did a great job, cleaned up and put molding inside. Very professional job and would recommend a professional installer for this job. Very happy so far but it’s new and works well. Time will tell how things work out but GE builds jet engines so hoping their AC’s are just as dependable but I bought a 5 year warranty to be safe. Fingers crossed.

I’m a person that’s always hot and this works very well for me. The remote works well but I do wish the buttons were raised a bit more, but that’s just nitpicking... overall I’d vibe this a 10/10

This room air conditioner is exactly that. It’s a perfect option for a 118-172 sq ft room. It comes with a remote control! And has 3 cool and fan options. It was very self explanatory to install and an appliance that I absolutely recommend. It has worked perfectly and we have had zero issues.

Powerful and Effective!

I would run it full blast when starting it up and it would cool the room it was in very quickly. From there it only required a minimal setting to maintain the cooler temperature. Great addition to my home!

It's also one of the slimmest front end unit and I think it looks great in your living room. It did a wonderful job in cooling a 1000 sq ft apartment rapidly. As with everything from G.E I expect this unit to last a long time as well.

GE Wall AC
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live in New England off the coast line. I wanted a newer model AC to replace our current wall AC which was on its last leg. I wanted an AC that would not take up window space, or one that required a lot of maintenance. We've only been using the GE wall AC for about 3 weeks. The AC blast cold air!!!! The remote makes it easy to control without getting up. It does vibrate so we used insulation padding to stop the humming sound, and the vents only move up and down not side to side for adjusting the air flow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This air conditioner unit is very well made and GE has yet again delivered a quality product. This AC sits in my upstairs study/playroom/bonus room ,which is easily 700 sq ft. It cools very easily and effectively.
Overall, it's a great product that works very well. The installation through the wall was easy , as I already had an older unit, that I replaced with. I used sleeves for this AC, as it will help keep my AC unit protected from outside element and last longer. Through the wall installation keeps my windows open/clear from the view outside.
Operation/running wise - it is great. very quiet comparatively (especially to the old Heir one I had). It keeps the area cool for long period of time, so you know it's doing its job well.
All the standard features of speed and temperature display etc. is great and works perfectly.
I'd highly recommend.

Cools my room fast
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this installed in my bedroom. It feels like an ice box in there. The thermometer is easy to wipe down to clean and has all the sleeper/timer buttons, making it easy to fall asleep wit my the AC on. The thermostat is pretty accurate on it. I set the temp to 70 and it turns on and off to maintain that temperature. I recommend having a second person there for installation as this unit is quite heavy at approximately 80 pounds. Another quality product from GE!
