Excellent performance, troublesome wifi setup.
This air conditioner cools our entire downstairs which has an open floor plan. It's quiet and despite not having a vent that allows side to side direction, it provides good circulation. One issue is the fairly maddening wifi set up, made harder by there being no printed password on the side of the device.

It's worth it!
Extremely happy. If you have an older window unit, it is time for an upgrade. The way this unit is made it sits in the window so the window is still usable, all the noise is outside and the inside part is really quiet. Much improvement over larger, louder unit I used to have.

Quiet Cool
This is the quietest window unit that I have ever heard. The compressor is in the outside panel making it quiet inside. Easy installation, love the extra view I get with a low profile unit. Needs a larger weep hole, was noisy and throws water internally.

Does not block my whole window
I've only been using the air conditioner for 5 days but so far it's been great I have a small window just barely 13 inches high but 47 inches wide, but with a couple adjustments for the width it fits perfect. I love the fact that I can still look out the window.

Awesome Quiet A/C
The AHTT08BCQ1 is amazing a/c! It is worth every penny you spend. Take your time and install properly and there is even a YouTube step by step instructions. I did have a bit of trouble getting the water filter cap off to do my every 10 days maintenance with cleaning filter and emptying the water filter but all went well. Please do it as it will save on the how hard the unit works and I’m sure save on the life of the unit too in long run. It’s extremely quiet and out side it is a little loud but that is because the water in pan inside unit hits the fan inside. I took plug off and used cotton strip fabric to put in drain hole for about 1 or 2 depending on the humidity out side. I’m sure lifting up the one side a tad would also work at water drains out but this works for me. I don’t leave that 1” strip of cotton in there, I take it out when it stops dripping off the bottom of the rag. Thank you GE for this awesome product!!

Easiest installation ever, Installed in under 30 minutes. It is super quiet and barely can tell the unit is on. Cooled a kitchen/dining/living room area down from 90°F to 72°F within about 12 hours of operating and outside temperature of 100°F.

Fantastic Features!
The install was super easy thanks to the excellent instructions and the box providing everything you need to do a complete install, including all of the foam window sealers, hard foam to set the unit on and even side foam to block outside air and light. If reading instructions is not your preferred method, there is even a QR code that takes you to a YouTube video that shows you exactly what to do! Once I had the unit leveled, closed the window after installing the window frame protective foam and plugged the unit in, I absolutely could not believe how quiet it was running! I cranked the temp down and the fan up and my wife and I sat a few feet away and could still hear each other whispering! Pretty incredible! The vents on top allow you to blow the air from 90 to 45 degrees into the room, which is perfect considering that hot air rises and cool air sinks. Perfect! It's even a very nice looking unit with the curved down face, vent and filter cover design. Overall, I'd have to say that this is hands down the very best window unit I have ever purchased! Great job GE engineers!

Cool and quiet
Really great design! Exactly what I needed for my 20-3/4" wide single hung window. Very little prep required for installation and everything to seal it up tight from bugs and the weather was included... which I did not expect! Only running for one day so far but cooling the house down nicely and quiet running which is a bonus.

LOVE dry mode and design!
I love this AC and have used it almost every day since installed. I love the design so it doesn’t block the view of the window, and my favorite feature is “Dry” mode. After discovering a major mold and humidity issue last year I use dry mode ALL the time! Plan on getting another next year.

Unit was easy to adjust to wall the wall thickness for installation. Unit, works very well. Definitely quiet operating. The app, I do like because shows you the Estimated KWH used in 24 hour time, but also power consumption when the unit is in operation.

Great AC! Perfect for what I need.
Had two units from different brands prior to this one that I had to return, both stopped working after couple of days. This however works great it's been a month now without issue.
Best thing about it is the design, I love how easy it is to put on my windows securely without any modification.

The air conditioner is a great purchase, nice and quiet, low profile and moves a ton of air!! it was easy to install watching the online video and included instructions. The smartHQ phone app is a great feature when the AC is connected to WIFI. You can turn the unit on and off when you’re not in the room or monitor energy usage.
