Consulting with an appliance rep he steered us to the GE washer heat pump combo. Could not be more pleased. Saved space, no dryer vent needed. All we had to do was install water supply and drain pipe. It is great putting dirty laundry in and return to dry clothes. Remarkable energy and water efficiency! No question we would buy again - have used it for 3 months.

If I was trying to get through a ton of loads, I'm not sure if I would love it quite as much. Also because it can simply be plugged into a normal outlet, I was able to divert the dryer electrical into the kitchen and use it for my double wall oven!

It’s quite big in size, which is perfect for a household. I can fit anything I need to wash within it- bedding, smaller washable carpet, any amount of laundry really. I love that it’s one and done! I just put my laundry in and detergent in, adjust all of the settings, and it has a lovely little chime when it’s washed/dried /cooled and ready for me to get it. I haven’t tried the specific active wear setting or others, only adjusted the temp to tap cold for my washes as I like to save the energy. So far I’m thrilled - remarkable technology, and I get my time and mental bandwidth back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why to not question one unit combo…. I took a chance on purchasing this GE Profile washer & dryer combo single unit. Yup. Debated whether I’d appreciate a combined unit. Absolutely everyone who sees it, asks me how I like it. And I say without hesitation “I love it. It is huge inside, uses little detergent, and is easy to use!”. One comment I get is how long it takes to run one load compared to the normal 2 unit washer/dryer. When you really think about it, unless you’re a person who immediately switches your loads, then yes, you may lose an hour. If you’re a person who sometimes leaves the load sit in the washer before transferring it in the dryer, then this saves you time. It’s so nice to put a load in though, and when done, simply put away. I can fit my bedspread and sheets in one load. I can strip my bed in the morning and have my bed washed, dried, and remade by 10:00am. with this machine. Truly a game changer. There’s also no dryer vent leading to an outside vent. The machine has a built in ventless dryer lint vent, that reminds you to empty it every time you do a load. Best part is you take it out and rinse it when it needs extra cleaning. Easy peasy. Whether you’re downsizing, want more space in your laundry area, want efficiency and ease of use, don’t want a plugged dryer hose leading to an outside vent, yet want a large capacity machine, this is it. Don’t hesitate, go buy one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything good we expected We were very excited to get our new GE Profile Washer and Dryer Combo. It is everything good that we expected. So much easier to do laundry now. Without the bulky separate washer and dryer we use the extra space in the laundry room to put a folding table and hamper.

I like the fact its ventless (no more mice getting in house from vent) I like the fact it's one machine (more room for shelfs) I like the fact that's it's 120 v (only have a 100 amp breaker box) I like the fact that the dryer burns half as much electricity as a conventional dryer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Takes 1/2 the space & is very energy efficient We have been using for almost 5 months now. We are a retired couple so not real heavy use. Had some noise that I was able to reduce by tightening the ajustible feet locknuts & re-level unit. They either came loose or wasn't tightened well enough during installation. Make sure you clean both sides of the filter & wipe/clean the door seal regularly. I find it pretty amazing this unit only takes 120 volts to run plus it requires no dryer vent. We are happy with it so far but time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth it, and it runs very quietly We are building a new house and decided to buy the combo washer/dryer now to ease the laundry at the apartment we are temporarily at. My wife loves the convenience of one step that includes wash and dry! Much easier with less of her time on doing the laundry. It's like "one stop shopping". We just got it so we are learning all the operational details. We all love it. In fact, my son has been doing his own laundry!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features! I wasn't sure about going with a washer/dryer combo but after doing some research decided to go with this combo. We live in a humid state so was worried this would add to the humidity levels inside. I'm pleased to say it does not! It has great features, is quiet and does the job in under 2 hours. I love this washer/dryer! The only downfall is the lint tray, it's long & slides in on the edge so when you pull it out it tends to be messy and leaves lint inside which need to be vacuumed out occasionally.

Most dryers are much larger than their washer pair. If you fill the unit to its 4.8 cubic foot capacity, will it dry well without serious wrinkling?
