Level and Read
Two people is helpful with leveling washer. Also they are plastic legs with limited length so if floor level causes leg to come out while leveling then use shims under legs. Also deeper water on certain loads requires one to read Manuel to learn options on adding water as not all cycle options allow deeper water unless you push deeper water button. Replaced a front loader that rear bearing was failing. This machine is light enough and motor assembly would be easy to replace speaking from a mechanics viewpoint hopefully way down the road. Learn to play with the first couple loads by switching cycles and pushing deep water to understand the slightly complicated control board options. Only suggestion to GE would be a more expansive Manuel with easier instructions for the laymen to get a good understanding of what you engineered into this washer. Noise is normal and not a concern in all cycles.

Awesome machines
We just got these products and they are gorgeous! I love the looks and the ease of using them. They are a bit noisier than I expected, but maybe that's because they're new. I love the large drums that make it easier for large items like quilts. The cycles are faster than older models and the washer spins all the water out of the clothes. I have always liked G E products because they seem to last a good while. We're happy with our purchase.

This washer holds a large number of towels and I’ve even washed a king sized comforter in it. It has a number of options and love that it spins almost to the point of being just damp. Love the options on different cycles.

Love my new washer
Love it. First time using a washer without agitator. Takes a little getting used to. I got a 5.0 cu ft. My only problem is Bulky cycle fills drum. I have a sink that water drains into. It's not big enough. But if I baby sit its all good. Otherwise other settings don't fill as much don't have to babysit.

The Control Lock Feature almost had me fwoom
Listen, I was in the middle of a whole rant leaving a 1 star review when I finally figured out what was going on. Now that I know what the problem was, I can leave a good review.
The problem I was having, was that my "Control Lock" feature somehow got activated. Possibly because I shoved a bunch of stuff up next to the control panel while I was re-organizing my laundry room.
If something similar happens to you, this is what I eventually found from the user manual:
PROBLEM: the LOCK icon is on the panel and you can only power on or off.
SOLUTION: hold the RINSE and SPIN buttons down to activate or de-activate the control lock.
I can see how this would be a great safety feature for anyone with kids, so that they can't accidentally get trapped inside and can't put the family pet in there in the three seconds since the parent looked away. Now that I know what happened, I love the product more.
This washer replaced my 30 year old set from another brand which served many members of my family well and then I passed onto a friend. I have been extremely happy with this Washer (and dryer) since my family gifted it to me. My clothes come out looking bright, there's no damage to my clothes since I decided to get the model without the center agitator, and the washer has so far been easy to clean between cycles. I haven't had any issues with mildew either.
