It's fine
So far it seems fine. Took hours to get all the plastic , stickers, tape off....I know this is for protection against breakage and scratches but dang, wish it were easier to get it all off. The fridge is a bit noisy right out of the gate, so that stinks, hoping it quiets down? I can always come back and review again.

this is first stainless steel appliance ever have had and I love the look. The inside is so spacious and the arrangement of the drawers are very convenient. I had a side by side before but the 3 drawer is awesome. Another great feature is the sensor option for the autofill is something I have never had. I cant tell you how many times in the past I put a glass under and let it fill walked away and had it overflow. It is like magic. I recommend this everyone!

We had a similar GE refrigerator that lasted 16 years. I hope this one does too. The product is improved with the LED lights, the quieter indoor ice maker. It has a sleek design.

Great stylish refrigerator made to last!
This is our second GE Profile refrigerator and we love the improvements over the old model. The doors close positively, preventing the kids from leaving the doors partially open. The adjustable shelving and space in general make configuring the space easy. The LED lighting makes seeing expiration dates and finding things easier. The unit looks great and runs quietly. Very happy with the unit!

Keeps food fresh better than old fridge
Replaced my old Kenmore side by side refrigerator with this GE Profile one because it was leaking water all over the floor. The GE is way better. It only took about 6 hours after installation to cool to its proper temperature. A thermometer shows it is maintaining a temperature of 37F for the fridge and 0F fo r the freezer. I'm pretty sure my old Kenmore didn't do that. Then again the Kenmore only had a dial with five temperature settings and it didn't say what they were. This GE Profile has an external water dispenser and in door ice maker in the fridge. This fridge started producing ice in 6 hours after being plugged in. 24 hours later and it now has enough ice to fill two 32oz coffee mugs. This GE Profile fridge has significantly more freezer space than my Kenmore side by side. The filtered water tastes better than what came out of my old Kenmore. I'd almost describe it as water with a very slight mineral taste. I live in Portland, Oregon and the water comes from a natural spring called Bull Run. It's the cleanest water in the USA and it tastes even better with GE's fridge filter. The autofill works perfectly on this fridge. Unlike other brands such as Bosch it's sensor based and does not require specifying the size of container that is being filled.

You just have to purchase the ice maker kit for the freezer to get that capability. It’s around $100 and easy to install. The door ice maker is standard on this model.
