Replacement for a different major brand that has had problems it's entire 6 year life. This unit is quieter, makes ice incredibly fast and has superior lighting. The door on a door adds to the convenience of reaching necessitys without opening the full door.

Absolutely love it! Love the ounces collected in glass/cup showing when 8 ozs. is collected.
Love the swing out bin in the Door within a Door feature. Love the divider in the Deli Drawer for small items. Love the Ice Bin compartment being in the door. No problem what so ever with this
type ice maker with the previous LG Frigerator. Would definitely recommend this product which Consumer Report Recommended. Their recommendation is why I purchased this frigerator!

So far so good. Everything works as it says it should. The autofill function is surprisingly handy. Only complaint is trying to get all of the plastic off the metal is next to impossible. Still picking away at that.

So far, we love the fridge. Caution--if you are putting one of the modern refrigerators in a home that wasn't built to accommodate the 4-6 inch thick doors--be very meticulous in your measurements and allow for door opening to increase the overall width needed.
The lighted back wall is really neat as is the half-door to locate your most used products without opening the entire door.

GE Fridge: Three weeks in and it seems terrific.
The fridge is great. Really like the light in the back that makes it easier to see things back there. We are still having trouble getting the packing plastic off of all the edges. Any ideas? Makes the fridge look dirty with it sticking out. Nothing seems to work. We do not want to hurt/compromise the metal.

Love everything about it! The space, the backlight, the drawer. The door storage in back of the ice maker is perfect for steak sauce, soy sauce, tarter sauce, Nancy's mustard without having to dig through 3 rows of bottles! Having the ice in the door adds 1/4 more freezer space. Love, Love, Love.

Our middle drawer does not open.....it appears to be stuck. Anyone else have this problem. Of course it is the weekend and PC Richards service dept is not open until Monday!
Please check that there is not clear tape holding it closed. Most drawers come taped to stay secure during shipping

does this refrigerator require hook up to water supply or is it a plumbing free refrigerator?
If you want to use the water and ice dispenser you’ll need to hook up to water. And you DO WANT those features. I love, love my refrigerator however I have to have service in because the door alarm keeps going off when all doors are securely shut. As a matter fact my stove and dishwasher also seem to have a mind of their own. Each randomly . I’m getting all three of them service this week and I’m just praying that the Issues get resolved. It’s been less than a year!! That’s what you have to worry about with all the technology and computer components to appliances. The more technology the more problems…
