Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm loving this unit so much with its options! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm loving this unit so much with all it has to offer! Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are such a game changer, being able to stream your music from your phone or other devices. Watching movies with your speaker options and taking your experience to feel like you're in a theater. This is a step up from a normal big box surround kit, without paying for a more expensive premium system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed by this powerhouse [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL MA7100HP receiver offers a robust combination of power and versatility suitable for both home audio enthusiasts and professionals. It delivers about 125 watts per 2-channels driven at 8ohms, which provides ample output for most speakers and room sizes. The receiver includes a range of connectivity options, including Bluetooth, google chromecast, Spotify, 4K and 8K ready to name a few. Which makes it easy to integrate with various audio sources. Its design is straightforward, minimalist and user-friendly, with a focus on durability and performance. Overall, the JBL MA7100HP is a solid choice for those seeking reliable, high-quality sound without excessive complexity. Overall, I’m very impressed by the performance this receiver delivers. The design, construction and weight of it is truly impressive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Receiver to control your home Sound System [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gone are the days of receivers that were hard to use and difficult to get connected to your devices or the other speakers in your setup. This receiver is SO COOL. The color looks awesome, the nobs are sleek and smooth and it even has a really cool looking red under glow when turned on. The display screen is very modern looking and can be easily read to quickly see whatever song you are listening too, change settings, or connect your Bluetooth devices. There is a wired component to the setup depending on what speakers you get to go with the receiver, but JBL makes it VERY easy including any and all parts you may need to get that done. A great receiver that is a great purchase to control your at home sound system!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Retired Guy's Viewpoint [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being of the boomer generation I am always amazed of the new electronic products now available and the ability to do so much. The JBL HD7100 is case in point. The receiver is designed to put out a quality signal to the speakers and to switch between inputs with ease and a lot of inputs. The engineers worked to simplify the operation of the receiver and once the basic setup is done, power turned on, learning the basic functions takes 90 seconds or so. Getting into the details obviously takes longer and a learning curve. But not to bad. Upon turning on the receiver automatically did a software update as hard wired to the internet. I can not cover all the details. In fact after a week of investigating every day, still learning of the capabilities. So just the some basics and observations & thoughts in random order. Yet this is a device of signals going in and signals going out. Using the JBL Stage 2 speaker system, absolutely blown away by the sound quality even from marginal sources. Specifications will not be listed here. Available on-line. The power to the speaker is huge. At any given sound level never heard any distortion or electronic. interference. Driving two speakers or seven made no difference. The remote minimal buttons to learn. Back to the 90 second thing. And worked from anyplace within the room. The ability to name each input differently a huge bonus for those of us with too many goodies as input sources. Along with dimming the display and orange highlight from front bottom. The tone controls seemed buried in the menu system as with several other functions. But a person learns the steps involved getting to any specific function. Realized my thinking and the design engineers thinking not the same. The amount of audio inputs gave options for source choices. Optical, coax, analog (times two), phono and of course the HDMI inputs At one point a CD using optical input, a DVD player used as a CD player using analog, and a Blue Ray player via HDMI hooked into the rerceiver. What else could a person ask for? Need to mention the two HDMI outputs. One of which is eARC version. And the single USB port. Quality: Some products intrinsically feel of quality. This is one! Front panel the two rotating knobs consistent in feel and actually similar in feel. The power button and all other button feel solid and long wearing. The same for the remote buttons. Like the way the off/on button is designed on both the receiver and remote. With one exception the connections on the rear are solid and decent quality. The 5-way speaker binding posts feel only a bit above average. Spade connections worked only so-so. Banana plugs the best and just wire also works. But there were issues. Connecting to Chromecast proved to be difficult and at times impossible. Therefore any advantages, well unavailable. The same for the network and to do the EzSet EQ. Took a day or two to get smart! Reset the receiver to factory specs and a simple restart on my phone and issues went away. My new TV arrived and all the updated electronics. Had all my passwords handy so didn’t take long getting on line. Now a happy camper. The EzSetEQ took a couple of tries, but in the end successful. Doing multiple A to B comparisons, overall do like the result. When the system is moved, yeah well a do over. The air conditioning unit had to be turned off as the rumble from air movement and fan motor noise did effect the outcome. This is the point in the review where go Hmmmm. A little more info in the quick guide and on-line manual sure would be nice for first time users especially Seniors. The receiver does not have to be under the TV. Can be anywhere with long enough cables. Hey how about building and including a universal remote. Not pictured were seven remotes going to various devices plugged into the receiver or the TV. General consensus is to build a custom cabinet centered around the AVR and with cable management and 120VAC power distribution given a priority. Please don’t poke fun of my college level block and plywood stand. Can be assembled and disassembled in several different configurations for receiver and other component placement. Along with development of custom cabinet design. And one last thought. The more I use the AVR the more I appreciate the unit. Nothing really to nit-pick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to operate [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This receiver is easy to operate. I like how there are many different listening options. The more we use it, we are discovering which options fit best for movies, TV, or Bluetooth. The Bluetooth option is great as we use our LR for workouts so being able to automatically link up to the aystem is great. Only drawback would be is that sometimes the receiver doesnt revert back to the last setting so we have to change it. It's easy to change but I would prefer is always startup with the last setting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Sound and Quality Build While attending Audio Advice Live this past weekend in Raleigh, I had a chance to audition the MA9100HP. I was impressed by the detailed, powerful sound that this AVR produced. After my questions were answered, I went ahead and ordered a 7100. It drives my Martin Logan Motion 40i speakers just fine. There is no strain. I have enjoyed well detailed sound. Setup was simple with no problems. I listen to 80% music, and the 7100 delivers! It replaced my Marantz SR6012, and actually sounds clearer and is more dynamic. The sonic signature is reminiscent of my Harman Kardon AVR and receiver. I am very pleased. Imaging is great, and is something you do not hear on many AVRs. I know that I am not of the target group that JBL is trying to attract, but take it from a 60+ Audiophile that this is a well built, and sounding AVR.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek, versatile receiver [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Stage 2 Series speakers are an excellent system for phenomenal sound. They look great and I appreciate that we have the option to use them with or without the cover, depending on the look we’re going for. The speakers are solid and feel like they are well-made. Everything came boxed in a way that protected the speakers. While it made it somewhat difficult to remove from the boxes, it protected them from damage. Two of our boxes had pretty big holes in the outside but there was nothing wrong with the speakers inside. Set up was fairly straightforward. The knobs for the connectors made it easier than what we’ve experienced with older speakers. The number of speakers makes for truly amazing audio. They do take up a lot of space so I recommend making sure your room is large enough to accommodate all of them. The instructions are helpful for spacing but you need plenty of room to make the configurations work optimally. We did have to read and re-read the instructions to make sure we were doing everything correctly. The receiver is sleek looking and includes any port you might need. I really like that the front display is so simple, although the technology behind it is not. It is pretty large, though, so be sure you have shelf space for it! I

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insane sound, very versitile [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this receiver has a ton of tricks up it's sleeve. Streaming through WiFi, using Bluetooth to cast music, full 7.1 surround sound, 2.1 stereo, this thing sounds amazing. Gobs of volume and it's not a huge size. Good functionality, it does require the JBL Premium app to fully set things up. Be warned: to take full advantage of this receiver, you need to do a LOT of hook up work to get everything wired up. In a world of wireless sound and plug and play, this is old school. Lots of speaker wire had to be run but the effort is worth it when you hear the full range of sound that this system can deliver. Movie special effects are theater quality. Remote control is simple, has 2 large control knobs that can toggle through all menus and set-up. And it's super cool looking with it's accent lighting that's adjustable. This is old school theater sound in a modern package
