Incredibly Powerful
I could not have found a more perfect compliment to my 4412s. I was worred that I might have to buy two of these. I did not have to worry long. I initially set my subwoofer output +10dB. I immediately had to reduce it back to line level, as to not sound too overbearing over my two 12" mains. Incredibly powerful. Way to go JBL!

A Great Addition!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This speaker is top notch! It goes great with the at home theatre setup that JBL can help you achieve. The setup is very easy, and in order to connect it to a receiver all the parts are included with the packaging.
JBL has never failed to disappoint anytime I have gotten their products and this speaker falls just inline. I wanted to achieve an at home theatre setup for football season and this speaker is going to make me feel like I am in the stadium at the game! It is a sleek looking speaker that will compliment any room in your home!

Great punchy addition.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL 220p subwoofer is a solid addition to any home audio system, offering robust performance and deep bass. With a 12-inch driver and a 300-watt RMS amplifier, it delivers impressive low-frequency response that enhances music, movies, and gaming experiences. It’s great at producing a tight, punchy bass without being overpowering.
Some might argue that the lack of wireless connectivity like other JBL products have might be a drawback for those seeking a more streamlined setup. But I will always take an analog connection over a wireless one when it comes to a responsive audio experience.

RUMBLE - BOOM - VIBRATION - All is good here!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You can't have a truly theater like experience at home without a proper subwoofer. There is just something about a lingering thunder roll out that you can feel, not just hear. If you've never been in an area where BIG thunderstorms can rock your house with a single close by lightning strike for a good 15 - 20 seconds, you won't know how well this subwoofer can recreate deep, low sounds. It is amazing. The subwoofer waits patiently while the other speakers are doing their thing. Then at some perfect, unsuspecting moment in the movie, the subwoofer unleashes it's power and depth to totally fool your mind into thinking you are right there in the story with the people you are watching. I love it!! Especially when someone is not expecting it and holding a beverage, or popcorn or whatever, and it goes flying. (Just some of my humor showing through there.)
This is a powered subwoofer that has two ports on back to help spread the rumble around the room. It is a 12" speaker with a built in 250 W amplifier. There is only one input type on the back (RCA style cord). And you have dials to set the crossover point of the subwoofer, and a volume control for the subwoofer. These controls help you dial in the proper amount of Bass, BOOM and RUMBLE for your entertainment system. There is also a phase control switch which could be helpful with the placement of your subwoofer.
I have this as part of my JBL Stage 2 home theater system and it matches perfectly with my setup (280F [front], 240H [ATMOS], 250B [Surround], 245C [Center]). Once everything was setup and calibrated, I felt like I WAS in a movie theater. I could not be happier!!

Powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love these subwoofer speaker. It's a bit bigger than normal and a bit heavy but it really pumps out the bass. Whether we are watching a movie, the news or just listening to music, this speaker produces deep and powerful bass which really makes you feel the sound. I also really like the small spikes on the bottom that allow the speakers to remain in one place on the carpet. Lastly, the magnetic cover is awesome. Fits perfect and maintains a perfect match to the other JBL speakers in the system.

Classy, Powerful & Responsive Bass
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] JBL's new Stage 2 series speakers (Stage 250B), subwoofer (Stage 220P), and MA series receiver (MA510) provide dynamic and crisp listening for music, movies, and audio of all sorts. Upon receiving this set up, I was thrilled as I removed each piece from the carefully packaged boxes. As I've come to expect with JBL products, you can feel the quality of each speaker, the subwoofer, and the receiver. The Espresso-colored speakers and subwoofer are dark wood-toned, giving a clean and classic look to a powerful sound system. The receiver is encased in durable metal. Each piece has anti-slip pads to keep the set up stable. Overall, it's a beautiful, clean set up that somehow helps put a room together like a piece of art.
Set up was an absolute cinch. By design, JBL makes it simple to connect the wire to each connection. Every connection, port, and button is clearly labeled. I'm no professional, but I've wired up a few speaker systems before. JBL found a way to make the process even simpler for quick set up right out of the box, and each piece pairs up effortlessly. I set up two speakers and one subwoofer, but JBL engineered this so that you can add more to fit your custom setup.
For functionality, JBL hit the nail on the head for those who want straightforward controls whether on the unit itself or on the portable remote. You can easily make adjustments to have the sound exactly as you wish, and JBL did a great job of keeping the controls simple. For myself, I utilized the EZ Set EQ software which JBL incorporated with the receiver. With my phone, I was able to let the EZ Set EQ software tune both speakers and the subwoofer to effortlessly calibrate the perfect sound set up for my space.
Now, onto the sound. I've never been so excited to fire up speakers for a movie. Thankfully, these did not disappoint in the slightest. All audio from movies and TV shows, whether an action-packed scene, character dialogue, or even something subtle like rain falling, is so beautifully crisp and clean. The sound is so crystal clear no matter if a scene or song is quiet or loud. The bass provides effortless "thump" if you want to feel like you're at a concert or part of the movie. Everything combined provides a true home-theater feel.
Overall, I found this system to be a masterpiece. From the simple setup, to the ease of customizing the sound, to the amazing sound quality while enjoying movies, shows, music, and anything audio-related, I'm enamored by the quality and care put into each piece. JBL dotted their I's and crossed their T's when engineering these.

This sub-woofer does not mess around!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Stage 2 Series speakers are an excellent system for phenomenal sound. They look great and I appreciate that we have the option to use them with or without the cover, depending on the look we’re going for. The speakers are solid and feel like they are well-made. Everything came boxed in a way that protected the speakers. While it made it somewhat difficult to remove from the boxes, it protected them from damage. Two of our boxes had pretty big holes in the outside but there was nothing wrong with the speakers inside. Set up was fairly straightforward. The knobs for the connectors made it easier than what we’ve experienced with older speakers. The number of speakers makes for truly amazing audio. They do take up a lot of space so I recommend making sure your room is large enough to accommodate all of them. The instructions are helpful for spacing but you need plenty of room to make the configurations work optimally. We did have to read and re-read the instructions to make sure we were doing everything correctly. This sub-woofer was more complicated than the rest but we are figuring it out. We have not previously had this kind of speaker in our sound system so it is new to us.

Huge sound and size
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing sounds like a beast. Big, full, solid bass in an attractive package. Pros: HUGE BASS, adjustable volume and crossover on the back panel. Super easy to set up and get plugged into the system. Cons: it's physically large. You really need the space to use this thing. As part of the full 7.1 surround system, it takes up a lot of room but it does deliver huge sound.

Super powerful home Subwoofer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Subwoofer is easily one of the hardest hitting subs i’ve used! EXTREMELY powerful bass whether you are playing some music or watching an action packed movie filled with explosions, you will feel it. Setting it up was extremely easy but it is large so make sure you have space for it.

Great sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great sound quality for sure. This speaker has great bass. The sound quality is unmatched. Hooking up the speaker is very simple. When used with a whole system this is awesome. It is not overpowering. When set up it sounds like you are front row at a concert. Can be heard great all through the house. When hooked up on porch you could hear it great throughout the whole yard as well. Great quality and looks!

Monster Bass!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got the powered subwoofer hooked up to my head unit and this thing will rattle the windows...so much so my wife made me turn the bass down just a little. You can really feel the lows when the thunder hits in a movie or the exhaust in a car. Fully adjustable as far as the crossover or bypass.

Deep Lows
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL 220p pairs well with the JBL MA510. All of the deep lows I was looking for when I’m watching a movie and the explosions are going off, as well as when I want to listen to some good music. It has a nice furniture look, which keeps it from being an eye sore in the living room. All around a solid addition to my home theater system
