Designed and engineered at our world-famous Acoustic Engineering Center of Excellence in Northridge, California, the Stage 245C is a center channel loudspeaker and is voiced to blend seamlessly with Stage 2 floorstanding mains, bookshelf mains, or even In-wall mains. This loudspeaker features a 2.5-way way design with Next Generation patented High-Definition Imaging (HDI) waveguide geometry, 1-inch (25mm) Anodized Aluminum dome tweeter, and quad 4.5-inch (114mm) Polycellulose ribbed cone woofers that provides deep, signature JBL bass.
Features:
5-Way Binding Posts
Sturdy 5-way binding posts provide the listener with their choice of high-quality connection. They also match the binding posts on the JBL MA AVRs, carrying the cohesive look throughout.

Stage 2 has premium details throughout the line including magnetically attached grilles, unique trim rings and the floating front baffle design - upscale features not typically found on loudspeakers in this price range.

Clean and Accurate
I'm using the Stage 245C speaker as the center speaker in a 5.1 home theater setup with an MA510 AV receiver and other JBL Stage 2 series speakers. The sound quality is amazing, clean and accurate with plenty of volume and punch.
We have an old media cabinet that we like, but it constrains us to a 65" screen due to a 60" width limitation, and also forces the Stage 245C to be located just above the screen instead of just below it. Fortunately this is not a problem, it still sounds like the audio is coming from the screen, and having the front speakers near the bottom side of the screen tends to spread the sound and pull it down a bit.
After speaker level balancing and room equalization, the home theater performance is amazing, very much like sitting in a movie theater immersed in audio. I really love this JBL 5.1 system.

Great Piece to add to your Setup
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great piece to add to your at home sound setup. Being able to put it in another area of a room really gives you a full 360 sound experience. The mesh front can be removed or attached very easily using the built in magnets. I personally like the look without the screen on. Music, movies, podcasts, football games this speaker is a great add to your at home set up.
It is a sleek black color, it can easily be put on a shelf or mounted to the wall and look clean when it is mounted there. The setup is a little tough as you need to connect it to the receiver, but the package comes with everything you need in order to get that done. It is not too heavy, or too big in size so it easy for one person to setup themselves. Would highly recommend adding this piece to any at home speaker set up that you may have.

JBL does it again. From the Olympics to my home!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The entire stage 2 series is amazing. It works in med to xx-large spaces. I wouldn't buy it for an apartment under 1200sqft. Your neighbors wouldn't like you very much. The sound is powerful and smooth. I did need some assistance with the installation because I didn't want wires showing and im not comfortable going into walls. If you want the system to look as good as it sounds, you should have someone to help you. Be sure to read the instruction manuel or you will miss out on features like speaker placement which makes an overall difference in the sound. I definitely understand why its a stage series as the sound is stage worthy. I have been buying JBL for years and this system continnues to exemplify the success of the company by stepping up the quality of sound a regular person can have access to in their home. Just FYI, Snoop had his JBL speaker on the bus with the USA men's basketball team during the Olympics and it made me proud to be a JBL supporter myself!

I heard exactly what you said - no need to rewind.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I''m coming from a soundbar setup to a true home theater system. The center channel speakers make such a huge difference!! I've owned a few soundbars and none of them could really differentiate voices from the sound that is happening at the same time. I couldn't tell you how many times my family has asked "What did they just say?" Or "Rewind, I didn't catch that!"
NO MORE!!
With four woofers and a tweeter dedicated in this one speaker/channel, you don't miss a thing anymore. Grated, this is a large speaker being nearly 30 inches wide, over 6 inches high and 8 inches deep - not to mention 25 pounds heavy. But I will gladly give up that real estate space just below my TV so that our movie nights and regular tv watching are not interrupted because of a missed plot point due to muffled speech. There are also two ports on the back of the speaker to help push the lower tones out an around the room. The speaker comes with 6 footpad cushions so that you are not scratching your support base for the speaker (media console/TV table/whatever you use).
I have this in my complete home theater system that also includes other JBL Stage 2 components (280F, 240H, 250B and 220P). And having this matched system is just a delightful experience. I don't really care about catching movie in the first run anymore because the sound from this system is as good as the theater experience. The only difference is there far fewer people checking their phone in our room versus a theater of people (Wife - kids - put the freakin' phones down!!)

A must have center speaker for Home Cinema sound.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 245C center speaker completes the home cinema setup. I've had this center speaker for almost a month now, and it's an absolute must-have. Once you complete your setup with all the speakers and subwoofer for a true surround sound experience, there’s no going back to using a soundbar for Saturday night movies.
The speaker was easy to set up and fits perfectly under my TV. The red and black terminals on the back were simple to connect, but learn from my mistake, make sure you wire it correctly. Initially, I didn’t connect the wires properly, and the sound quality suffered. However, once it was wired correctly, the audio quality was excellent. Movies and TV shows sound clear and punchy.
The speaker I have features a dark brown brushed finish that’s stylish and complements my living room, or honestly, any home cinema. The front has a magnetic cover that can be easily removed if you prefer the look of the exposed speakers.
Overall, the JBL Stage 245C is a solid performer that enhances dialogue clarity and delivers immersive audio, especially if you appreciate balanced sound.

The Star of the Stage 2 Lineup!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Stage 245C speaker really is the star of the Stage 2 speaker line! It's fairly large for a center channel speaker, but looks sleek and minimalist. The wire connectors are hefty and feel very well made. Overall, it looks and feels like a luxury piece. Center channel speakers are typically there to enhance dialogue in a surround sound theater system and this is where this speaker truly shines. Voices are crisp and clear, no matter who is speaking on screen. I'm someone who prefers to watch TV with subtitles so I don't miss any of the dialogue, but with this speaker, I rarely need them because the voices are so clear. Listening to music is also a pleasure with this speakers. The soundstage is fairly tight while listening to music, so if you're looking for a broad musical soundscape, you might want to back off how loud you make this speaker in comparison to the other speakers in your setup. Because of the size of the speaker's woofers, it gives out a surprising amount of low frequencies, so much that you might even be able to get away without a subwoofer (though I like a lot of bass). And the tweeters are just what you want in a center channel. All in all, if you want an incredible TV/movie watching experience, this speaker really delivers - and at a great price too!

Clarity Like No Other
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently integrated the JBL Stage 245C center loudspeaker into my home theater setup and it has made a significant difference. Sound and even more Sound!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One tweeter and four primary speakers work as an amazing unit. A lot of adjectives, smooth, crisp, loud, big, heavy, and the list continues.
VOICE: Does not favor adult male or female voices. I did find the voices of small children to be sharp and not as pleasing. Podcasts varied due to production quality. Sometimes heard oddball stuff in the background, may never had heard before. Obviously takes a premium speaker to reproduce minor background sounds.
MUSIC: Listening and watching a musical pleasing. Did not find audio fatigue on a long movie or soundtrack. However once the movie started I tended to lower the volume. In a quiet room the voices and music projected without effort. Unsure of a noisy family type room. Come back to crisp, articulate, balanced and even sounding.
-
OVERALL: Listening was without and boost or attenuation of the bass or treble. When asked other individuals, content with sound as is. If there to be adjustments maybe a minor change here or there, but why? Starting at the high frequencies the treble kept up with the other four delivers. Not sharp or shrill. The advantage of a horn tweeter? Again the mid-range was strong, but hey it is a center speaker.
Accurate but almost too accurate? The upper bass, there but not as strong as once thought, Obviously designed to be in a 3.1 or 5.1 or 7.1 system. And guessing a 9.1 system. In listening worked better with 5.1 and 7.1. Wee bit over powering with a 3.1.
Could not tell the difference of the center speaker just below the TV or on a lower shelf below the receiver. Tried to hear a difference sitting on the floor, sitting in a chair or standing. The exception being if too close to the speakers. The speaker and the JBL Stage 2 system are designed to be room filling and with composure.

Small but powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this center speaker. I love how i was able to locate it on our cabinet, behind our TV. The speaker sounds great, and looks great. This speaker is crisp and really allows you to hear the dialog of what you'rewatchingor listeningto. Lastly, the magnetic cover is awesome. Fits perfect and maintains a perfect match to the other JBL speakers in the system.

Not a simple sound bar!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Stage 2 Series speakers are an excellent system for phenomenal sound. They look great and I appreciate that we have the option to use them with or without the cover, depending on the look we’re going for. The speakers are solid and feel like they are well-made. Everything came boxed in a way that protected the speakers. While it made it somewhat difficult to remove from the boxes, it protected them from damage. Two of our boxes had pretty big holes in the outside but there was nothing wrong with the speakers inside. Set up was fairly straightforward. The knobs for the connectors made it easier than what we’ve experienced with older speakers. The number of speakers makes for truly amazing audio. They do take up a lot of space so I recommend making sure your room is large enough to accommodate all of them. This center channel speaker is especially heavy. The instructions are helpful for spacing but you need plenty of room to make the configurations work optimally. We did have to read and re-read the instructions to make sure we were doing everything correctly.

Very clear vocal quality, focused sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the few center channel speakers that I've used that really does a great job at projecting dialogue and human voices straight to your ears. It's incredibly clear and as part of the entire 7.1 surround system it's essential in delivering balanced sound. It's quite large, for reference, the TV in the picture is 70". It's not small but it delivers big.

I don’t live in a theatre,,
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t live in a theatre, but my neighbors think I do. With the convince of portability, the simplicity of Bluetooth and the amazing sound quality coming from today’s popular smaller speakers, I haven’t had want for much else. But, it’s been a long time since I’ve had a full system and I decided it was time. Time to go big. 7.1 big. I had no idea what I was in for. Sounds now come from not only front, behind and deep within, but also from above. I’ve had to hit pause to investigate if the noises were coming from inside or outside of my house. The JBL MA710 receiver paired with the 200 series speakers will drive nails out of your joists. Crystal clearly. Set up is very straight forward. The packaging is impeccable as always. Once connected you can dial in channels and frequencies, along with Dolby and Atmos options. The charcoal magnetic grille covers complement the handsome wood grain finish of all the speakers and sub. While the MA710 has a beautiful glass front I was a bit let down by the old school mono-color analog looking display. Nit picky, I know, but IT deserves better. Luckily you can time the display to go blank in seconds. I also appreciate the auto off on timed idle option. Unfortunately I couldn’t get the JBL app to work on my iPhone, so I cannot speak to its interface with the system. Bottom line, if you want truer than life home theater sound or incredible stage presence, this is where it’s at.

Decent center speaker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL 245C delivers clear and crisp dialogue with its quad 4.5-inch drivers and 1-inch tweeter. It ensures that voices and sound effects are easily distinguishable, making movie and TV watching a great experience.
I love the sleek, compact design that in my opinion fits well with most home theater setups. It’s built solid and the silicon pucks underneath reduce vibrations and maintain sound clarity.
My only gripe is that the placement of the JBL 245C is critical for achieving the optimal performance and sound quality out of it. Making it tough for some possibly in the set up process.
