An amazing quality in a surround sound speaker!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this surround sound speaker, easy installation, and amazing sound quality! Love that this speaker is simple to place in a location. Such a big difference in sound quality than a sound system kit. This is a very well packaged item for shipping, showing they care about your purchase!

Great Speaker to add to your System
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great speaker that will help in achieving the 360 degree sound that we all want when listening to music or watching our favorite movie. Like many of JBL's products it is sleek looking that is not at all an eye sore when you put it in your home setup. The sound quality is excellent and really adds great sound value to your overall setup.
The mesh screen on the front can be easily removed incase you do like the look of the speaker better than the mesh front. Would highly recommend this purchase as you could put it in the back corner of a room and never know it was there until you turn on your music or movie.

Backfill done perfect!! But can ROCK on their own
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great speakers on their own. These can rock hard just as a stereo pair all by themselves. I am currently using these as surround speakers in my JBL Stage 2 home theater system, and I can find no flaw with these speakers in that capacity. They provide the perfect amount of ambiance whether bringing in music from behind in a movie, getting the crowd effect as I'm watching sports, or getting that surprise noise from behind in a scary movie. It all just draws your attention more into what you are watching - which is why we all have surround sound systems!! And these match perfectly with the rest of the Stage 2 speakers in my system (280F [Front], 240H [ATMOS], 245c [Center]. 220P [Subwoofer]).
These speakers match a 5-1/4 inch woofer with a tweeter and a bass port on the back to provide a large amount of sound over a substantial frequency range (55 - 25K). Footpads are provided for both speakers to allow placement just about anywhere without worry of scratching furniture, or bookshelves, or whatever you may be placing them on. These have grills that are magnetic and stay on easy, and they are even easier to take off if needed. It took a little bit of work and trial and error to get the speakers into the right place and sound level. But once you get that sweet spot. you really ARE in the middle of all the action, whether it be a movie, sports, or TV.

Great surround speakers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love these surround speakers. Not only do they sound great, they look great. We set them ip on the sides of our living room rather than behind us. When we are watching a movie, these speakers are crisp and really make you feel like you're in the movie. The sound travels all the way behind you. Lastly, the magnetic cover is awesome. Fits perfect and maintains a perfect match to the other JBL speakers in the system.

Powerful, Elegant Speakers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] JBL's new Stage 2 series speakers (Stage 250B), subwoofer (Stage 220P), and MA series receiver (MA510) provide dynamic and crisp listening for music, movies, and audio of all sorts. Upon receiving this set up, I was thrilled as I removed each piece from the carefully packaged boxes. As I've come to expect with JBL products, you can feel the quality of each speaker, the subwoofer, and the receiver. The Espresso-colored speakers and subwoofer are dark wood-toned, giving a clean and classic look to a powerful sound system. The receiver is encased in durable metal. Each piece has anti-slip pads to keep the set up stable. Overall, it's a beautiful, clean set up that somehow helps put a room together like a piece of art.
Set up was an absolute cinch. By design, JBL makes it simple to connect the wire to each connection. Every connection, port, and button is clearly labeled. I'm no professional, but I've wired up a few speaker systems before. JBL found a way to make the process even simpler for quick set up right out of the box, and each piece pairs up effortlessly. I set up two speakers and one subwoofer, but JBL engineered this so that you can add more to fit your custom setup.
For functionality, JBL hit the nail on the head for those who want straightforward controls whether on the unit itself or on the portable remote. You can easily make adjustments to have the sound exactly as you wish, and JBL did a great job of keeping the controls simple. For myself, I utilized the EZ Set EQ software which JBL incorporated with the receiver. With my phone, I was able to let the EZ Set EQ software tune both speakers and the subwoofer to effortlessly calibrate the perfect sound set up for my space.
Now, onto the sound. I've never been so excited to fire up speakers for a movie. Thankfully, these did not disappoint in the slightest. All audio from movies and TV shows, whether an action-packed scene, character dialogue, or even something subtle like rain falling, is so beautifully crisp and clean. The sound is so crystal clear no matter if a scene or song is quiet or loud. The bass provides effortless "thump" if you want to feel like you're at a concert or part of the movie. Everything combined provides a true home-theater feel.
Overall, I found this system to be a masterpiece. From the simple setup, to the ease of customizing the sound, to the amazing sound quality while enjoying movies, shows, music, and anything audio-related, I'm enamored by the quality and care put into each piece. JBL dotted their I's and crossed their T's when engineering these.

Great extra boost to the surround sound experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Stage 2 Series speakers are an excellent system for phenomenal sound. They look great and I appreciate that we have the option to use them with or without the cover, depending on the look we’re going for. The speakers are solid and feel like they are well-made. Everything came boxed in a way that protected the speakers. While it made it somewhat difficult to remove from the boxes, it protected them from damage. Two of our boxes had pretty big holes in the outside but there was nothing wrong with the speakers inside. Set up was fairly straightforward. The knobs for the connectors made it easier than what we’ve experienced with older speakers. The number of speakers makes for truly amazing audio. They do take up a lot of space so I recommend making sure your room is large enough to accommodate all of them. The instructions are helpful for spacing but you need plenty of room to make the configurations work optimally. We did have to read and re-read the instructions to make sure we were doing everything correctly. These shelf speakers are much larger and sound better than what we had in the past.

Solid bookshelf speakers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use these as front surround sound speakers. But I also tried them out as straight up bookshelf speakers for music and they can really handle a wide range of use. Music was balanced and clear and LOUD. As front surround speakers as part of the pictured 7.1 system, they added depth to special effects and surround sound that was subtle but noticeable. For reference, the TV in the full system picture is 70". I love the look of them as well. Simple and clean appearance.

Great Performance for the Size
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL 250b speakers are perfect solution for a home theater setup for anyone who demands the most from their entertainment system. For the size, they can get ridiculously loud while still maintaining clarity which is important for movies and playing music. They are sleek, stylish, and the build quality is impressive. I really enjoy the magnetic speaker covers which allow easy access as well as making cleaning a breeze. Overall, these speakers paired with a dedicated sub would make your home theater system rival the movie theater! Definitely recommend

Beautiful and Unmatched Quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got these hooked up with my head unit and powered sub, and the highs that come from these beauties are unmatched! The words are so clear that I don't need the volume maxxed out now to hear what is being said or even whispered on TV/movies. These are top notch! Magnetic grilles make cleaning easy as well.

Top Notch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL 250B Bookshelf Loudspeakers are another hit in my audio system. The build quality is top-notch, heavy, and solid, which is exactly what I look for in quality speakers. The magnetic screen covers are a practical addition, making it easy to remove, clean, or display the speakers. The sound quality is exceptional—crisp, clean, and with a great sound spectrum. I haven't noticed any loss of quality, even at high volumes. These speakers can really crank up without any distortion. The only minor issue I encountered was with the speaker wire connections. I used heavy braided wire, and the inserts were quite difficult to access. For those using similar wire, it might be a challenge, so consider using solid wire for an easier connection. Despite this, I eventually got everything set up and couldn't be happier with the performance.

Awesome bookshelf speakers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These bookshelf speakers are fantastic! They sound look great and more importantly, sound great. I love the grills that are included with them. The orange trim on the grill adds a subtle nod to the JBL brand. However, the most impressive part of these speakers is their sound. Everything is crisp and clear. Watching movies has never been more immersive! The only thing I wish they did better is bass, but that's what a subwoofer is for. Great work JBL!

Great Speakers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These speakers sound great and look great with my setup as well. It’s neat that the grilles are easily removable so that I can show them off. I can’t wait to get some floor stands to raise them to the level of my TV! It was a bit tricky to wire these speakers due to the awkward angle of the connectors, but doable.

Great sounding speakers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These speakers are absolutely amazing! The highs are crisp and solid. The bass is super loud and booming. They kinda bogged out a little with higher volumes but they didn't sound too distorted. The bass wasn't too overwhelming for the highs. I would definitely recommend these for easy listening or even to add some good sounds for any get together. A plus in my book!

Fill the room with sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL 250B speakers are truly an excellent upgrade to my home speaker system, they project sound incredibly well, were easy to unbox/setup, and fit well in my built in shelves. Setting up the speakers was incredibly easy, the instructions were clear and made running the speaker wire a breeze. I spent some time listening to some new music via Bluetooth once connected to the receiver (easy pairing as is standard with all JBL products) and mixing in a few old favorites and every song sounded like I was at the concert. Movie nights with the speakers turn your home into a theatre like experience. Hosting movie nights is one of my favorite things and I cannot wait to invite my friends over to experience the new setup!

Sharp looking
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These speakers not only look amazing they sound amazing! The sound quality is like sitting front row of a concert. The screen are magnetic so they go right into place. The only down fall I see with these are the screw hook ups. The hole is small and wires are hard to get into. The placement of the holes make it difficult as well to get to. Other than that these are great speakers! Would recommend for sure.

Great sounding bookshelf speakers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the speakers came in very nice packaging, including a soft bag protecting each speaker from scratches in transit. I am using these speakers with the MA510 AVR. They are compact, and attractive, allowing you to use them either with the included foam grill covers or bare. These grills attach magnetically, which is a nice touch. But the thing that really matters is there sound. Well, they are JBLs, and they sound fantastic as you would wxprect from JBL. Loud, full, smooth- I can’t imagine any way to improve their sound.
The only reason these speakers didn’t get 5 out of 5 is that the speaker wire binding posts were a bit challenging. The wire that came with the AVR is 12 guage, and that really was a little too big for the holes in the binding posts. Also, the angle of the binding posts made the holes harder to access. I recommend using spade connectors (not included) instead of bare wire as that will be an easier connection. Otherwise, absolutely great speakers, and well suited for use with the MA510.
