Great tasting Ice

Great taste. Much better than refrigerator ice. Can use a straw in the cup because the cubes are smaller

Great workhorse

KitchenAid Under Counter Ice Maker

We have a fairly new 4 door Samsung refrigerator and we do not like the ice from the refrigerator ice maker. We had a Whirlpool under counter ice maker that completely quit and we had to replace it. We are very happy with the KichenAid and would highly recommend it.

Lots of ICE!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old KitchenAid stopped after 17 years and the new one produces the same great tasting ice!! The one thing that irritated me was that the drain tube was 2 inches too short requiring me to attach an additional length of tubing. This caused me to cut an access hole in an adjacent cabinet to fit it into the existing in floor PVC drain. The big problem is that a 30 minute job took 3 hours!!

So far so good, works as advertised..

One thing that is awkward is where the ice scoop stays. Looks like an after thought. Have to bend over to see where it goes all the time. We've had two previous units like this, both Kit Aid, in our last house and they take a fair amount of maintenance. Have to get down on the floor and vacuum out the coils periodically, hard to do when older.

Nice under cabinet icemaker

Once we got everything hooked up ourselves, ice production was awesome! It is tricky getting any type of water appliance connected by the delivery people. Everything needs to be readily accessible with shutoff valves, etc. so make sure that is done before delivery!

Ice Maker Replacement

But sold through. Again much better than competitor. Scoop seams a bit big. Bought through a quest pass. Very nice deal and service!!
