The FreeFlex Third Rack fits glasses, mugs, bowls, silverware and cooking tools, freeing up room below for pots, plates and mixing bowls. Advanced Clean Water Wash System circulates clean water to dishes in all three racks, and the Fan-Enabled ProDry System provides thorough drying, so dishes come out ready for more enjoying.

Features

FreeFlex Third Rack
The largest third rack available1 has a deep, angled design that fits 6" glasses, mugs and bowls. It features rotating wash jets to clean items in the rack, a drying bar with tabs that help wick moisture off glasses and a removable utensil tray for cooking tools.

Fan-Enabled ProDry System
combines a heating element and fan for optimal drying performance. It circulates hot air around dishes after the wash cycle to give them a thorough dry. To activate, select the ProDry Option or Extended ProDry Option.

Advanced Clean Water Wash System
uses microfiltration to continuously remove food particles during the wash and rinse cycles and circulates clean water to dishes in all three racks. This allows dirty cookware and delicate glassware to be washed together in the same load.

ProWash Cycle
uses sensors to measure soil levels throughout the cycle and adapts wash time and water temperature as needed for tough messes or lighter loads, because no two meals or the dishes that result are exactly the same.

I bought it online and boy did I make a fantastic choice! I’ve had KitchenAid in the past and was pleased so I knew I was getting quality. This machine is gorgeous! It is very roomy inside with three racks,the middle being adjustable. With only two of us at home now, I will run the machine not fully packed. It washes beautifully and it is so quiet you don’t realize it is on. There are so many Wash and dry selections…oh I don’t even scrub my dishes before placing them in the machine. Zero complaints from me. I even bragged and showed it off to my two grown daughters.

It is quiet, compared to others I've had in the past. I like how it indicates how much time is left in the cycle and how it gives you a choice between drying or letting it air dry. There is a foreign object cup that pulls out easily, and is easy to clean when needed. Love the top rack, but I wish it could be adjusted; it is a little short for my mugs. The removable piece on the right, limits what you can put into it because of the slots for knives, etc. There is already a silverware container, so I see no need to do knives, etc, on the third rack. When I remove it, I have to make sure I don't put things there that can fall through the openings. I'm still learning the best way to load the dishwasher. I'm sure I'll make better use of the space, eventually. I've looked for videos showing the best way to load things, but haven't been able to find any.

This dishwasher is by far the best equipped we have ever owned, my wife can’t explain how much more room this has but she can now fit an enormous amount of dishes, pots and utensils. It is also a very quiet dishwasher and everything comes out much cleaner than a competitor dishwasher we previously owned. I highly recommend this kitchen aid dishwasher you won’t be disappointed.

However, this KitchenAid dishwasher is really an excellent replacement. It is so quiet we have to look at it to make sure it’s running and it does a superb job of cleaning the dishes. I found that with tall wine glasses I had to remove the third rack, which can easily be taken out and put back in. Interestingly enough, the service desk had no idea how to remove it. I found that the rail plastic end pieces swivel out to allow rack removal and replacement. All in all, I am extremely happy with this dishwasher.

Wow what a difference, we love our new KitchenAid dishwasher. It's so quiet that the only way you know is by the indicator on the front. We went with the Pocket version which has a nice indicator telling you where you are in the wash cycle. ProDry is a must. Fantastic, no dishes are left wet, in which our old washer had a habit of doing. Purchase a KitchenAid with the ProDry and you will not regret.

How can you just drain it what do you press

You should refer to your owners manual. I found this on the error codes page Dishwasher will not drain - error code F9E1 says to hit 9 Pause 1 Pause - pause, repeat and the Cycle ends.
