The FreeFlex Third Rack fits glasses, mugs, bowls, silverware and cooking tools, freeing up room below for pots, plates and mixing bowls. Advanced Clean Water Wash System circulates clean water to dishes in all three racks, and the Fan-Enabled ProDry System provides thorough drying, so dishes come out ready for more enjoying.

FreeFlex Third Rack
The largest third rack available1 has a deep, angled design that fits 6" glasses, mugs and bowls. It features rotating wash jets to clean items in the rack, a drying bar with tabs that help wick moisture off glasses and a removable utensil tray for cooking tools.

Fan-Enabled ProDry System
combines a heating element and fan for optimal drying performance. It circulates hot air around dishes after the wash cycle to give them a thorough dry. To activate, select the ProDry Option or Extended ProDry Option.

Advanced Clean Water Wash System
uses microfiltration to continuously remove food particles during the wash and rinse cycles and circulates clean water to dishes in all three racks. This allows dirty cookware and delicate glassware to be washed together in the same load.

ProWash Cycle

The three-rack design creates a cavernous amount of space, The clever design provides room for tall glasses while still creating space above on the top rack for plenty of items. It is virtually silent when running. And, of course, it does an excellent job getting things clean. The only two items I would note as room for improvement are: the cutlery rack has an odd configuration of slots or holes, and not all utensils fit in all holes, so it is a bit awkward. Secondly, the controls are a bit too touch sensitive, and we often hit them when opening and closing the door.

It holds a lot of dishes. Love the third rack! Fairly quiet. Does a great job cleaning and drying the dishes. Installation was easy, except that it is deeper than the old one, so it was a struggle to get it all the way under the counter. Had to reposition the drain hose, the water intake hose, and the power cord to make it fit. Buttons on top are very sensitive. We sometimes accidentally hit them when opening or closing the door, but not a big deal. This was the most we've ever spent on a dishwasher, but if it lasts as long as the previous one, it will be worth it.

We've had this dishwasher for about 1 month and it gets the dishes so clean. It has a very large capacity and I love the size of the upper rack. The drying cycle does not damage my plastic-ware. We looked at the Bosch 800 series and the Kitchenaid seemed so much better made. The racks slide in and out very easily. The only thing that took getting used to is the sensitivity of the top controls. You just need to position your hand in the center of the top of the door to avoid hitting the controls.

You should refer to your owners manual. I found this on the error codes page Dishwasher will not drain - error code F9E1 says to hit 9 Pause 1 Pause - pause, repeat and the Cycle ends.
