I got a glass bowl with it and I like being able to get a better look at what's inside the bowl make sure everything is mixed properly. I'm short and this mixer really works much better for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Decided to finally purchase a Kitchen Aid mixer for my baking after much deliberation. Using only a hand mixer for many years, my arm’s finally grew too tired. Particularly during our annual Christmas family tradition of baking pizzelles, usually 60-72 dozen for family and friends! I wrestled with spending the money for a Kitchen Aid, but after the last pizzelle day I finally decided to purchase one and was happy to get one on sale! So happy with the physical ease during the recipe process and the pop of color (blue) in my kitchen makes me smile!I admit I was a bit intimidated at the thought of using it but quickly learned it is really only a few easy steps and easy to attach the bowl and blade choice. Clean up is also easy. Storage is a bit of a pain, since I only like a few things on my counters, but with a bit of arranging I put my new mixer in my appliance garage while not in use and moved my coffee machine to another location. Bought a pad to assist with pulling mixer out of storage for use, so easy! YES, SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT YEARS AGO!

Happy with this Item!
Very happy with this mixer although I do wish the color was the bluish green as it appears in the picture. In person it is more blue imo. It still looks terrific and it goes beautifully with the blue green ceramic leaf bowl that can be bought separately. Of course what really matters, more than the appearance, is the excellent quality behind Kitchenaid and I have faith in that from previous experiences with their products. Customer Service was super friendly, polite and efficient too which is always a bonus!

Excellence in an appliance!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Kitchenaid Artisan 5-quart tilt-head stand mixer about a month ago and we have used this for everything! From the shredder/slicer attachment to slice vegetables and shred cheese, to making bread dough with the included dough hook and whipping heavy cream into fresh butter with the whisk attachment. This mixer doesn't vibrate or slide around the counter. Quality craftsmanship at its best! This mixer has worked flawlessly and like a dream! I will be a lifetime customer!

Best dough maker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has started baking, and we found some good bread recipes. Unfortunately, my mixer was just not strong enough to do it very well. I got my Kitchenaid and it does a marvelous job making bread dough. It was so marvelous that I got the pasta roller attachments she now make my own pasta! Definitely wish I'd game l have gotten one earlier. A friend of mine has had hers for years and it still works just fine!
