KitchenAid K400 Variable Speed Blender with Tamper - Passion Red
Designed to deliver the perfect taste. The K400 variable speed blender features a 3-part blending system that easily blends even the toughest ingredients, from kale to almonds and more, with a powerful vortex created by the ribbed jar design, unique asymmetric blade that blends at four distinct angles, and Intelli-Speed Motor Control, which senses contents and maintains the optimal speed to power through all ingredients. Control the taste and texture with the 5-speed variable speed dial, or use the 3 Preset Recipe Programs: Ice Crush, Icy Drinks, and Smoothie. The Soft Start Feature starts the motor at a slower speed to pull food into the blade then quickly increases to the selected speed setting to avoid splatter. The included tamper helps push ingredients into the blending vortex so everything is blended evenly.

Better than I thought

I must say the K400 is fabulous for our daily smoothies. No clumps no matter if it’s hard or leafy veggies, fruit, powder, ice, etc. a GREAT addition to our kitchen. BTW love the auto wash function.

Works very well

I love it. I make smoothies in the morning and it chops whole frozen strawberries like butter and blends the ingredients very well. I love the self clean mode so I don't have to let it soak as it washes itself. Very happy with this blender.

Superior kitchen appliance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, my new Kitchen Aid blender has been a superior appliance. I make fruit smoothies using fresh and frozen fruits in the mix. My old Kitchen Aid blender worked well, but did not grind up the skins on the fruit as small as I would have liked. This new one pulverizes everything completely. The skin particles are reduced to the size of sand, rather than the size of bb's like the old one did. This really improves the drinkability of the resulting liquid. I am really happy with this new model.
