Cooking rocks!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this AC for about a month and I can tell you, this was the best replacement of an Emerson that died on me. I do not had the Emerson for 2 years and during the hot summers it couldn’t keep up cooling my office shed. When it hits triple digits the shed stays about 82-86 when the sun is beating against it. The LG has been a total lifesaver.

THIS IS THE COOLEST!
I purchased this unit for our office warehouse and the improvement is quite impressive, the AC does not need to work continuously, even on the energy save mode this unit keeps the room temperature at the desired level no matter the outdoor conditions.
Very easy to install, I installed it by myself (NOT RECOMENDED as it is heavy and big for one person) but I had no option, it took me a while but I got it in very easily, it brings all necessary parts, all necessary insulation and trim.
Very happy with the purchase!

Finally got it installed
We had to order a new thru-the-wall sleeve and got the AC installed… before the snow. Before wrapping the exterior we tested it and it works great. I really like the remote control.

Excellent quick cooling
This was a replacement for an older unit and I am amazed at the quick cooling. I have a cape cod home and this unit cooled my whole first floor on the lowest setting temp set at 67. I still need time to experience the other features as well as play with the temperature setting. At 67 degrees it was quite chilly. The volume is an acceptable level for me, again a big improvement from my previous unit that was about 15 years old.

COOL keeping us COOL!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We found out at our July closing, that our Manhattan Coop did not have air conditioning (we say the covering for it, and assumed there was an AC unit behind the screen!). Since we were moving in the next week, we quickly checked online the best unit for our needs---a through the wall model. LG rated highest. We have an LG refrigerator, an LG stove, an LG TV, and other LG products and have been pleased with all of them. No Brainer. Ordered it online, it came a day early, was easily installed, and cools the place great. And, I like it really cold. LG did the job, is relatively quiet, and is easy to operate with the remote. We will miss its soothing hum in the winter.

Great AC especially in the high heat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 4 of these units to replace aging ones in my apartment complex and plan on switching them all out as the old AC units of various manufactures die out. They are advanced and can easily be operated from any smart phone. The features are easy to use and the units cool amazingly well especially in Northern Ca. I have bought other brands but LG is tops...truly the Cadillac of AC units !!

It works alright, but doesn't drain properly. You can hear the fan swirling in liquid upon start. Word of wise run just the fan at night for at least 6 hours on low to get rid of built up condensation/ water. That way when you run it during the day it doesn't start up completely drenched in water.

Somewhat concerning

Its also quite a few seconds powering up. Because of this i dont use the energy saver mode. Im curious if this is common with most units or just a glitch with mine.

Noisy Unit
I bought two of these units for my home to cool two upstairs bedrooms. The "energy saver" function is worthless. It starts cooling and then it shuts off, then turns on again for 1 minute and shuts off. Then turns on again for 3 minutes and shuts off. Then repeat. If any of these random functions were quiet I wouldn't mind but they are loud and very intrusive to sleep

Doesn't drain properly
Unfortunately, this AC is way too big for my AC sleeve. It stores the water even though it was installed properly. It did cool the room but I had to return this AC.

How much for installation?
You will have to ask your local PC Richard’s or call their 800 number to find out how much installation costs. I think about $129 or higher. We installed it ourselves and it was very easy to slide in the wall sleeve and add the supplied foam underneath to tilt it up in the front so the water flows towards the back, then pack the supplied foam around the unit, slip the supplied molding over the unit and push against the sleeve and plug it in. Make sure you have access to a 220 volt outlet because this 14,000 BTU unit does not plug into a standard 110 volt outlet.
